The truth is that caucuses have started. I already had mine. And the last one is in Castine on March 3. The Maine GOP simply wants to have a big show where they alnnounce the results. They'll mention probably that other votes will be taking place in Hancock County. And if it was really important to us, we'd throw a whole bunch of people into Hancock County.

It's interesting. There are like 2 caucuses tonight. And 2 or 4 on Thursday night. And I've tried to encourage people to shake the trees for votes.

Maine is such a tight race right now, less than 10 points between all of them, but I fear all these Santorum wins will put him over the edge in Maine also.

It's definitely easier to get young people to vote. Changing an old persons mind is not easy to do. There are old people who are already liberty minded and we should target them and get them to vote. I meet them in Washington all the time. The hard part is getting the younger people to go out and vote. That is what we need to work on.

Thank you RPH, most don't know just how professional the campaign staff and volunteers are. We are taking on EVERYBODY, we have no allies on either the left or the right. or in the media.

For those who don't know, the majority of members of the staff are those who are committed to the cause and not just political hacks. It works in our favor because they won't be looking for jobs in the Romney administration in 6 months and are loyal to the movement, it works against us because they are not all GOP insiders. I prefer it the way it is personally.

maybe the reason we don't know any of those things is because the ONLY person in the campaign that actually communicates with the grassroots and follows up on ideas and questions that we have is Doug Wead.

Given how central the grassroots is to the financial health and success of the campaign, it doesn't make any sense that there is so little (re: ZERO) communication between us and them.

Oh bull, there is communication between the campaign and the grassroots all the time. Wead just does it a bit more publicly.

I understand what you're saying but the fact is they are not coming out in droves like we had hoped.

To me I would think spending let's say 20,000 per state for college outreach. Ads in college papers, tabling events.

I would have a secondary phone from home concentrate solutely on 50 years of age+ - sort of like a swat teamspecifically
4 this segment of voters.

And i agree with hawaii... we cant even fathom the behemeth of corruption we are up against.

Turnout is turning out more difficult than the "Paul supporters will crawl over broken glass" meme suggested. I wonder if that meme is one thing we could have prevented that has made things more difficult for us...

I think getting maxxed out donors to help fund youth outreach is great.

The secondary PfH thing sounds complex and it is targeting the older demographics already (landlines).

What we REALLY need is more people on the ground stepping up to the plate. As usual, we are mostly seeing 2% of the people doing 90% of the work. If we improve that ratio we will see solid improvements spring from that. Pre-organize for election day: schedule drivers and teams to electioneer at the polls. BUILD LISTS!!!

I do realize that the 10% of the things the 98% do are just as important as the 90% that the 2% do, and I realize that this is like a national average in volunteer networks, but if we could just improve this...
