Maine is now important.

Actually, according to an exit poll I saw, 23 percent of the caucus vote in Minnesota was ages 18-39

If we win Maine it will continue to turn this process on it's head. That is good for us.

Oh STFU with baseless complaints about management. Most of you guys are friggin clueless and don't even know who is who on the staff. Some are faces, others are operatives. They are doing much better than any of us would be doing and are fighting massive machines. Many have stepped far away from the comfort zone to support honest government and they have my full support...

Sometimes I think some of you thought this would be a cakewalk.

This.

Unless you've gone to Leadership Institute, American Majority, or the 2 week YAL campaign management training, or have successfully run a congressional or bigger campaign... you don't have the first clue.

maybe the reason we don't know any of those things is because the ONLY person in the campaign that actually communicates with the grassroots and follows up on ideas and questions that we have is Doug Wead.

Given how central the grassroots is to the financial health and success of the campaign, it doesn't make any sense that there is so little (re: ZERO) communication between us and them.

Maine is such a tight race right now, less than 10 points between all of them, but I fear all these Santorum wins will put him over the edge in Maine also.

Also, what sort of effect will Santorum's results tonight have on the caucuses in Main?? Aren't there 3 days of voting/caucusing left to do? What if Santorum dominates the last 3 days?

Maine has started already. In my town, Santorum won. 3/2/2/1
But we got clear wins in a number of towns in my county.
We have been winning in a lot of places. We still have quite a few left.
The results will be announced on Feb 11. The vote is over March 3.

We don't need to convince old people to vote for RP as bad as we need to CONVINCE THE YOUNG PEOPLE TO ACTUALLY GO VOTE

We already dominate the younger age group and it is much easier to convince someone to just go vote than to convince someone to get over their preconceived notions and change who they will vote for.
I understand what you're saying but the fact is they are not coming out in droves like we had hoped.

To me I would think spending let's say 20,000 per state for college outreach. Ads in college papers, tabling events.

I would have a secondary phone from home concentrate solutely on 50 years of age+ - sort of like a swat teamspecifically
4 this segment of voters.

And i agree with hawaii... we cant even fathom the behemeth of corruption we are up against.

Less with ads and more with boots on the ground. events.

In the abstract, it's a major undertaking.

We should target one big group of our people in a specific place. One big college. And put together an effort in that college.
And we have money to make that happen. Kelly Clarkson at the caucus. The night of 101 stars. Anything. We have money, and our goal
is to get as many of those students voting as possible. It's the grassroots spotlight project. We know about this project here on RPF, and Daily Paul, and
this is our baby. It's a single overtask with a simple goal. We could do this.

We pick a state. We propose projects. We vote on projects. We then do that project. Like a Money Bomb, but a Grassroots Spotlight Project.

I think Early Voting at Ohio State should be a Grassroots Spotlight Project.

How does ending the vote in March make sense if they announce it almost a month before-hand?

Some of the comments in this thread are sad. It reminds me of the infighting, bickering, complaining and attacking Ron's staff during his last run. Ron Paul even commented on it publicly, and said that he did not mind being the torch-bearer for liberty, but when he sees comments like the ones in this thread, it depresses him.

I agree. If that national poll had come out three days earlier, Ron might have had a chance to 'surge' in Minn, but as it was Santa surged w/ those jumping off Gingrich because Santa hasn't really been vetted yet. I presume that won't stay the case.

I hope we win Maine. Ron is going up again instead of to CPAC, I understand. There is one huge city caucus that could reverse a lot of our more rural gains if we aren't well represented, is my fear. I really really hope we win Maine.

With the polls, I didn't expect us to win Minn. Before Gingrich imploded and Santa got so much of his vote we might well have. But the 'others' float with the current.

So RP will be in Maine this week? It's a must imo!!

How do you know this? I thought it was a clearly a two man race having taken into account all the caucuses...

We need to do both. But I totally agree that it would be easier to get the youth voting. If you feel as strongly as I do about it then visit this thread and help me contact the youth....... http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?359145-I-hear-a-lot-of-people-concerned-about-unregistered-youth-%28here-is-the-solution%29
