Maine - Forgotten, but important!

With Iowa behind us, and New Hampshire and South Carolina taking prominent roles in this election it is easy to forget about the 6th state to vote...Maine. Sure the prize isn't as great as Florida, but it is a place where Ron Paul can stand out and do very well. In 2008 Ron was the only other person besides Mitt Romney to receive delegates in the state...and he even won one county. I think we can double that effort, if not win outright this time...all the other candidates have forgotten but 24 delegates are just sitting there for the taking.

Nevada, Maine, Colorado and Minnesota are extremely important states. Minnesota is a big state that i think Paul could win. i hope he does A LOT of campaigning there.

I think Ron has a legitimate shot at winning a majority of the, if not all, 5 caucuses remaining between now and super Tuesday. Colorado is probably the toughest one and with the right angle (ending the drug war) we can get the vote out in droves there.

Maine's caucus is closed to registered Republicans only. The deadline to change parties and register Republican is 15 days before your caucus (which is just weeks away).

Unenrolled voters (those who are not registered with any party) can register as a Republican at the caucus.

Those who have never registered to vote can register to vote at the caucus.

Anyone born on or before 11/6/94 can vote in the caucus (17 year olds can participate).

It is absolutely beautiful there. Some of the freshest/cleanest air in all of America plus with the added aroma of the Ocean is like nothing you have ever smelt before. I will probably end up retiring there, I love that state.

I believe you mean Kennebunkport. Kennebunk, however, is a different story. Home of the state's touted First IB World (International Baccalaureate) school. United Nations-driven program with no local control (although funded by a TON of taxpayer money), no teaching of U.S. History or traditional American literature (in favor of contemporary leftist writers/concerns like global warming and feminist studies), 8th plank of the Communist Manifesto, mandatory 30 hours "volunteer" work for graduation ... and the taxpayers there think it's just great!

While the roads are so crappy they wreck off-road Jeep YJ's and small businesses are closing. Oh, but they pay out the nose to buy special trash bags to throw away trash- in order to encourage "others" to recycle. Yay, Kennebunk! NOT!

Definitely bring the message of Freedom and Liberty to Kennebunk, because they seriously need it.

Turnout is usually very, very low in ME. In a lot of ways the state is even more favorable to Ron than NH. All the delegates are unbound. The only real problem is that Maine knows Romney because they watch some Boston TV.
