Yes, if they are willing to go this far and just throw out the results of all the contests that we legitimately win, Ron needs to run third party to make them pay for screwing us. Or atleast threaten to do so if they don't stop this BS. Whats the use of trying to build bridges with people that throw c4 on them and blow them up?
Governor Romney certainly knows by now that RP's delegates - as well as supporters - are and will remain far beyond his reach. It's just plain silly for any one of us to believe that any one of us owe anything to the Grand Old Party. We're not here to destroy this thing. We're here to
help save it, even in the most insignificant ways - like donating a little bit, if and when we could, regardless of the burden it may have placed on our selves and our families. Ron Paul is doing the heavy lifting, here, and we kinda admire him a bit, don't we?
What is admirable about Mitt Romney? At all? Still, we're pretty happy to see signs of our message getting through. RP supporters certainly seem like happy people, don't we? (Especially in comparison to the GOP? lol)
The GOP will serve as an avenue for a peaceful return to constitutional and limited government (and that includes a good, long conversation about usurpation of liberties in the name of the "Homeland"), or the GOP will end up remembered by the future for its folly; as the root cause of the GOP's most feared outcome of this year's election would be supporters of Mitt Romney, not Ron Paul. This is how we feel. It's okay to make up our own minds; we don't need assistance in managing our judgement. So there, GOP. Nyah.
I also believe that Dr. Paul's decision to shoot for the moon and work to not only help the country, but to spare the Grand Old Party of insignificance, is an inspired move. America is beginning to figure that out, too, and that's a very good thing. It's as though Ron Paul is trying to do them a favor and
some still don't get it. Just by posting in these forums, we're a part of the solution to that problem. There's no reason to abandon our choice and accept Mitt Romney, full stop.
That said, pahs1994, if the GOP is willing to go as far as to whine over the results of the contest, what good would be accomplished by getting angry? Don't rock back on your heels. Let them keep causing explosions - the bigger they are, the further away you can hear them. And that's going to make it tougher for the MSM to hide or ignore. We're doing the job that journalists shouldn't be doing, anyway: aiming to shape the news rather than report the news. We're not manipulating a damned thing. And we don't want to. We learned the rules of the game, and today it seems we will have moved the chains a little more.
So,
molon labe. I still don't know who the heck Charlie Webster is, but he should hope he doesn't mind becoming a household name, should he decide to manipulate the result. We'd make him famous on these boards.
