No. It's more than that. The Overton Window is rapidly changing. They need to discredit this Old Right Revival as quickly as possible, because someone more devious than Ron Paul may ram it down their collective throats in the near future. You should have heard Lawrence O'Donnell bloviate that people like Rand Paul should be harshly condemned for making such "ridiculous" comments and that such talk shouldn't be accepted in the national dialogue. This is all damage control and suppression.

Remember that a lot of America isn't Kentucky. That being said though, I really think that this will help get us through the Republican primary.

I agree, that the leftist are scared shitless of the libertarians... it is much easier to demagogue advocates of war to the rational mind but what about those who advocate peace, love of whom you wish as defined you the individual, and prosperity for all. I'd apply this equally to people on the left and the right but yeah, I agree.

The Old Right is coming back.

When you advocate small government on one hand and foreign invasions on the other, the leftists can attack and tear apart your hypocrisy. Pure conservatism/libertarianism can't be refuted.

Before hand MSNBC was kind of pushing us because they didn't take our ideas seriously and they thought we could hinder the other "more serious" Republicans. Now they're see we're gaining momentum and they realize how dangerous we are to their entire worldview. Now they're trying to squash us and it will backfire on them. Getting bashed on MSNBC is a plus to conservatives. If we get the nomination, there's no way our ideas are being stopped at that point.
