Lysander Spooner

Now THAT needs to be turned into a "hope" poster! Incredible work! Send that over to the mises institute as soon as u are done!

It's like the 19th century's greatest philosopher, proto-epic beard man, and American badass extraordinaire is in the room with me right now.

So potent and magnificent I feel like if I printed it out and hung a copy on my wall, it would shield me from tyranny and repel statism while I sleep!

what do you think about spooners membership in the 'first international'?

The International Workingmen's Association (IWA) (1864–1876), sometimes called the First International, was an international organization which aimed at uniting a variety of different left-wing socialist, communist and anarchist political groups and trade union organizations that were based on the working class and class struggle. It was founded in 1864 in a workmen's meeting held in Saint Martin's Hall, London. Its first congress was held in 1866 in Geneva.

Jefferson owned slaves and advocated public education, Bastiat believed in the labor theory of value...

The overwhelming majority of work from all of them is positive.

It does not bother me. Also from wikipedia:

At its founding, the International Workingmen's Association was an alliance of people from diverse groups, including French Mutualists, Blanquists, English Owenites, Italian republicans, such American proponents of individualist anarchism as Stephen Pearl Andrews and William B. Greene...Due to the wide variety of philosophies present in the First International, there was conflict from the start. The first objections to Marx's came from the Mutualists who opposed communism and statism.

Spooner was wrong about wage labor, as were several other individualist anarchist. This group is mostly labor, not socialism as a whole.

I consider myself a libertarian, not an anarchist, and there are several things I don't quite agree with him on, but his overall "portfolio" is a pretty big net positive.

Hey Awake, did you ever get an uploadable finished product? Don't get me wrong; I know gifted artists should never be rushed, but I'm so excited to see how it turned out!

Would love a t-shirt of that to wear next time I have to go to the post office.

I always thought it would be cool to get a Spooner tshirt but I have a feeling that a lot people will get him confused with someone else
