"I don't make a habit out of supporting people who attack my wife and attack my family, and Donald Trump is not going to be the Republican nominee," Cruz told reporters Friday afternoon, his clearest suggestion yet that he could not back the billionaire if he is the GOP's standard-bearer in the general election. .

I don't know why Cruz thinks anyone believed him in the first place.

This reporter didn't in this video on twitter, asking the same question (worth watching).

I also watched an interview with Cruz on Maria Bartiromo on Wednesday morning, and don't think she believed him either, but didn't
get as disgusted as the reporter on the video on the twitter linked above. She headed him off at the pass on the wife fight going on, and showed the nude ad that cruz supporters had run before Trump responded, and said, this is what happened and then.. Cruz looked guilty, he'd been totally passing over that for days. Then at the end of the interview, she again carefully stated as the start of the question: 'Why
do you think you can win this if it goes to a contested convention?'. Cruz, as he has for weeks, ignored this, and says I think we're going to get 1237 delegates! etc etc. Maria knows Cruz needs 85% of the remaining delegates, and looks disgusted.
