It's half the price of greyhound tickets.
I don't know all the details, but i'm sure there is contact info on the site for questions.
This was actually started by the minnesota meet-up group. the routes were created with input from the people who joined up.
the original new orleans route was going to go through shreveport into dallas, then oklahoma.
it made more sense to keep the route in the center of the states so people from all parts could get to the stops easily.

Excellent, I think I'm gonna catch the Raleigh ronvoy....

Is each ronvoy different as far as the day/time that it is leaving it's city and then leaving to head back?

Probably going to take the providence route, and get picked up in scranton :)

I'm sure the starting time is adjusted for the length of the route and how long it will take to get there.
Though i'm sure they will all head back at the same time.

Another thing, you will need to hold off on getting your room until you find out what hotel your ronvoy is going to.

Not trying to rain on your parade here but how is this option better for anyone?

I live in Arkansas, which is about as far as you can get on the New Orleans route and if I drive myself and family to the rally it will cost around $250.00 total in gas.

It would cost me $700.00 for 4 tickets on this Ronvoy. What am I missing here?

Again, this is an honest question/objection partaining to this project not just a complaint. I am trying to find out if I really am missing something on this.

Benefits those who don't have a group to travel with.
It would cost me over $300 in fuel to drive myself to minnesota.
it would cost me close to $400 to ride greyhoud.
it would cost me over $500 to fly.
or $175 on the ronvoy.

I'm single and live in los angeles. i don't think there is anything cheaper than $175 for someone like me.

I just used http://www.fuelcostcalculator.com/TripGasprice.aspx to calculate the round trip price of gas in a fuel efficient Civic and it was $485, and that's IF you have a car that gets good milage.

For someone like you, it's obviously more expensive though.

this is great for people without cars, and people traveling alone. or who can't afford plane tickets. for you, going by car would obviously be better. for others this is better.

according to that website it would cost me $500 round trip to take my vehicle.
not including the stress of running a vehicle at high speeds for long durations.

Start City: AR, Little Rock
End City: MN, Minneapolis

One-Way Trip: 848 Miles
32.62 Gallons Used
$120.58 Fuel Cost

Round-Trip: 1696 Miles
65.24 Gallons Used
$241.16 Fuel Cost

Well according to that site it looks like it will cost me closer to $200 (i live well north of Little Rock) which is even better, but I do see what you guys are talking about. It might be a good option for a few single people an people with out cars.

Even if you bring a date it seems it would be cheaper for a few but then you will not be able to move around as freely once there. Anyway, hopefull I will make this one as I veiw it to be very important indeed. (the showing that is..) Hope this option that you all have come up with makes it more available to some people closer to the ends of the routes anyway.

Really folks I am concerned that there will not be enough room at the Target Center, 15,000 does not seem to be much room for a movement of this magnitude. It is still about a month away and over half of the ticket have sold out...

$200 is not cheap for bus/van transportation. I can get a round trip plane ticket for $258. Thanks, but no thanks.
