It's funny how brash and/or immature some of these posters are.
Iowa is just one state. A state that in past, didn't mean squat as far as winning the nomination. Only Carter and Bush got the state and won. Historically, Iowa hasn't been a significant one.
Why? Because of the heavy conservative Christian voting base. They're in some ways an outlier to the predominantly moderate/moderate-right voters in the country. And with the neocon-backlash from Bush, the neocon movement only has a foothold in a very limited number of states.
Hence, Iowa wasn't a huge priority for RP, and it shouldn't. You can't raise the white flag when not only did the primaries just begun, but begun with a state that was a bastion of conservative voters.
