Look at question 7a on page 12 in this pdf file:

http://assets.aarp.org/rgcenter/general/election_issues_mi.pdf

They are not concerned about the war.

They are concerned about healthcare and the economy. The two go hand in hand. Think about it and it makes perfect sense. Older people worry that they will run out of savings and become totally dependent on the government to take care of them.

It is crucial to get Dr. Paul's positions on these subjects into their hands/heads. Look at the next page and you'll see that few were familiar with Dr. Paul's position back when this survey was taken (I think Sept 07?)

Stress that Dr. Paul is a DOCTOR, another AARP survey showed that something like 80% of them TRUST DOCTORS. Also, stress that Dr. Paul is himself an older American at 72. Make sure they know that Dr. Paul wants to take care of OUR citizens first. Also emphasize that Dr. Paul understands that inflation is going up by 10% and the government is only giving them a 2% COLA increase in their checks, which means they are losing their savings FAST, and Dr. Paul wants to put a stop to that.

Hope this info helps.

Well if its a young person then talk about the war. learn form politicians - tell them what they want to hear.

Most of the young have left Michigan for lack of good paying jobs. People in rural areas are retired GM workers. We want a economy to bring our families back together.
