You know, I have been a conservative (a real one) for my entire life and I am so sick and tired of all these posers calling themselves "conservatives", when they are not.

The first litmus test for a true conservative is whether your voting record and other actions, show you are a strong advocate of a limited constitutional republic.

If you fail that one. Stop there. Because you are NOT a conservative. There is no reason to go to the second litmus test.

Gingrich, Romney, Santorum, Perry, and Huntsman are not conservatives in any sense of the word. They are big government types, willing to run right over the Constitution whenever it serves their agenda.

And that's not the only part of that commercial that's laughable. Not by a long shot.

Understands the threat of radical Islam. Believing, or claiming to anyway, that every man, woman and child in Iran is a kamikaze who would rather see their entire nation wiped out than fail to harm us in some way is not some kind of 'understanding'. It's insanity. So, 'true conservative' is no more ridiculous than 'you can really trust'.

You just described 95% of the chickenhawks, man. War is a win-win situation--you get territory and lose part of the poor overpopulation. Can't beat it. Not that you'd have poor overpopulation if you allowed people enough freedom to make capitalism work for them. But then you wouldn't have a poor overpopulation to send to war, right?

It's all so neatly circular if you twist it enough.
