A local Ron Paul supporter in an e-mail to me last week said:

"Ron Paul’s uninformed and anti-Semitic remarks against Israel’s right to self-defense and existence has made me resolved to oppose Ron Paul in any goal. I will not support such ignorance. I heard his entire speech, not a bite and it showed that he cannot be president even if his economic policies are ample. "

Thoughts on how to reply to this person?

Don't waste your time debating people. Target the majority who are undecided.

The one thing which could be mentioned is that, whenever you hear Rep Paul speak to this issue, he is always addressing our government's involvement in the region. He is not addressing an individual's right, or an organization's right, to support one side or the other. Dr Paul WOULD NEVER speak against Individual Rights. It IS NOT anti-Semitic to oppose government involvement.

This guy DONATED to Ron's campaign....:o

Another reason why you shouldn't respond.
You won't change the persons mind. They are content in their ignorance.
A contrary response will lose the donor.

You can't save the world from ignorance... just deal with people who get it.

Sounds like a guy we have in some of my local groups. Dropped RP after reading the "racist" mag. articles where RP was an editor. He switched to Barr.

He seems to like to bring that up still.

One retard exception. Glad RP got his money.

1.2 million people voted for RP. Probably some of them were clueless. I would not be surprised if there were CIA undercover in the campaign taking very close note on the developments. RP's increasing popularity must have been a very serious concern for these people. The media was instructed to make a joke of him, but I'd be willing to bet that behind the scenes this was no laughing matter.

How on this hunk of rock, floating in space (earth), can minding our own business, be Anti-Semitic?

Reminds me of this:

The ADL listed Bob Schulz, Constitution Party, Randy Weaver, NORFED, Militias, etc... on their 'Law Enforcement Extremist' pages...

Change the year in the above link to see more...

Dig up some article and writings in which RP addresses the issue. He's been pretty clear when I've heard him speak, IMHO. :D

Well considering he was kindred spirits with Ludwig Von Mises and Murray Rothbard, endorsed and campaigned for Murray Sabrin and had Peter Schiff as an economics adviser, I think calling him anti-semitic is a huge stretch lol.

doesn't sound like a Ron Paul "supporter" to me

Exactly... I havent met a Ron Paul supporter yet who didnt educate himself. Ron Paul doesnt dumb it down for people, so if you want to stay up to date with the campaign/news etc, you have to study and educate yourself.

During the campaign I learned something, on average about once a week.. Now, its not as often, but only because Im reading and studying less..

Example.. I read about 10 pages from Rons book Manifesto.. and just from those 10 pages I learned the real law concering the United Nations and our national declaration of war.. I know when I read the whole book, Ill probably learn 20 more things.

Yeah Austrian economics was founded by a bunch of Austrian Jews... so how can you hate Jewish people when you revere their economic teachings and follow them wholeheartedly....

I doubt very highly that, that so-called Ron Paul supporter is anything of the sort.

Im kinda of wondering about Matt Collins myself though.. this is the 2nd post which seems a bit trollish.. No offense meant Matt.

EDIT: Im sorry Matt, I should know better than to suggest you're trolling.. Youve been here just as long as me and have posted alot more.. Im sorry.

The Alex Jones post was indeed a joke to poke fun at conspiracy theorists.

But this post is real from a real human being sending me an e-mail after being invited to a local CFL event. This post is not a joke, a local former RP supporter actually said this.

I've never met a conspiracy theory I didn't like, much like Homer Simpson has never met a donut he didn't like.

But I'm no fan of AJ....

Yeah

see ya dude.

funny how ANY type of non-support for Israel is "anti-semitic"....Israelis can be critical of their own Gov. but NEVER an American in the U.S.

who knows which of a dozen different reasons this guy has.

Same thing was done to Carter (being accused of being "anti-semitic")....

It's so freakin HILARIOUS that some people believe this shit.

Just like the mama bird after she trains her offspring, well equips them for life on their own, then off flys moma ...Israel needs to fly on her own we need to stop policing (dictating ) to the world and Mind our own affairs!
