Local coin dealer was out of silver

Says he was wiped out when silver hit the upper 20s. I got his last 7 Canadian Maples(which he found in a "junk" drawer). He said he was ordering 3 monster boxes but that they wouldn't get to him for a few weeks. I have never seen him out of silver. Just thought I would pass this along.

Provident Metals seems to be out of stock on some of their silver items too I noticed.

A few of us have been predicting for a while that if silver gets back below 25$ an ounce it will be come very very hard to get phyiscal silver.

We'll see if this trend gets stronger. If so, the premium on physical will start to be large %'s of the actual spot price.

And silver didn't even go below $25 this time.

Pretty sure this is a big reason why the US Mint is reporting massive sales of 2012 ASEs so far for January. Dealers sold out of 2011 stock and were pre-selling 2012s to the public all December. Pretty safe to say that sub $30 silver spurs massive physical demand.

My local shop has been out for the past few weeks. Only thing he has is high dollar numismatic stuff. You can forget junk.

My coin dealer runs out of silver all the time. I don't think a lot of coin dealers carry more than 10-20 or so silver eagles for sale. At least the ones I've been to.
