You might be able to roughly edit it by using Windows Movie Maker, a standard program that comes with all windows systems.

Trim it with Windows Moviemaker and you can encode with Avidemux(free)
dont forget to use X264 codec...it will shrink to just a fraction, and yes use avi container.

Movie maker won't open the project from a TIVO recording...

I am trying anything I can think of, and right now am converting it to MPEG4 with IPOD converter.

Either way, I have it, and the 30 foot pole guy will get to see himself on TV....LOL

I don't have much video editing software on my system.

I've never in my life would have guessed that a group of fellow presidental canidate supporters could feel and act so much like a family. Everyone I've meet, talked to, chatted with have just be great since I first got involved at the Iowa Straw Poll in Ames....3 days after I learned of Dr. Paul.
I've had a pretty crappy last year or so, but being part of this has really lifted me up.
