Llepard and all other 2007 fine folks hiding: this is the closest we can win. Please help

when the story of all this is told years from now, you will be embedded into it. amazing what u did, You are proof of all our passion and it will be pointed too as a clear example in the history of the greatest grassroots uprising ever.

Hah! I wish man, I do what I can. The "Secret Billionaire" tag is for nostalgia's sake. AKA back in 2007 when everyone thought Paul had a secret billionaire stashed away ready to blow his fortune on Liberty.

Nostalgia?
nostalgia: No, Not
The "Secret Billionaire" can be found in my sig! ;)

LLepard will forever be in the Paulite Hall of Fame for what he did back in the day. Its not right to ask any more of him.

Please don't give the NYT money. I'd much rather see adds in local papers in SC, FL, NV.

Llepard stepped up in 2007 which was great.

He can't do it this year, but we must have faith- the "secret billionaire" could step forward any day now! :)

the USA Today + NYT ad buys were
$100,000 per and in the begining...

this was a deed by its timing that can't
be as spectacularly repeated at alll!!!

Holy sh!t, 200K! I never knew somebody here donated that much. A few thousand is a good number and tens of thousands would be big, but 200K! You, sir, are truly making big sacrifices for liberty. A big thank you.

I wish Jim Rogers and others would donate amounts like that.

Hey Llepard,

We need an MF Global update in the Economics sub-forum when that gets settled! ;)

Ditto. Never knew that the ad buys were that generous!

I would love to but I am not in a financial position to do so. I feel bad about that, but we all do what we can. I have given him the maximum campaign donation and have made lots of small contributions to projects. You need to understand that I am not that rich. Yes, I am comfortable, but spending $200,000 on ads in USA Today and the NYT was a HUGE commitment for me. Really not something I could ever repeat easily. Arguably what I did was crazy (ask my wife and three kids), but I felt like at the time he needed the help, and I wanted to make a mark. We did have the largest one day fundraiser in history off of that ad. When I see how well he has done, and how the ideas have caught on and spread, I never once have regreted the decision to spend the money. I sincerely hope he wins but the size of the whole thing is beyond me now. What I can give today does not move the needle.

Overall I am so encouraged and proud of Ron and my fellow supporters. Over 50% of the youth vote in Iowa went to RP. We are the ultimate growth stock. Just give us time and we will win. The fourth turning that we are currently undergoing is going to be EPIC. Think American Revolution like. God bless the new young generation that is going to pick up this torch and run with it, and doom on all my fellow baby boomer co-horts who are part of the problem, not part of the solution.

Keep fighting, we are right, therefore we will win. I feel it very deeply.

Your efforts are always appreciated. We are winning. The amount of progress we have made in 4 years is amazing. This race will come down to Romney vs Paul.

No One But PAUL!

I drove around to 8 local stores looking for that USA today. When I found it, I opened it up like a Wonka Chocolate Bar..."I'VE GOT THE GOLDEN TICKET!"

Final sales numbers on that issue? Guessing 20% higher than average...

Does someone have a high-def image of the ad??

First, thanks for all the love in the replies. RP deserves the kudos though for standing up for the best in all of us. I just helped out.

Second, here are the links to the PDF's of the ads on Scribd.

Camera ready work can probably be obtained from Linda Lagana. She is the graphic artist who designed them for free because she believes in the cause. I have her contact information. PM me.

Truly the best part of running the advertisements was the interactive process of preparing the message using these forums. Many contributed, and the ads became much better than I ever could have done alone. It really was a group effort and the old time members of the forum deserve lots of credit. It was a very special time for those of us who were involved. Great karma.

That USA Today ad was definitely one of the big things of 2007. The open source nature was key. For some reason, 4 years later, we don't do that any more.

I know, it is sad. The open source was the best part of the whole thing!

Hey Llepard,

We need an MF Global update in the Economics sub-forum when that gets settled! ;)

MF Global is crony capitalism at its worst. I have $90,000 with them and think I will be lucky to get half of it back. (Hell, there is one advertisment right there, thanks Establishment). Also, the gold and gold stock correction has set me back. But this will change. These people are going to run the dollar right into the ground. War with Iran? No Habeas Corpus because of NDAA. The list goes on....

The government has declared war on the American people. OK you bastards. Let's check the numbers. 99% us. 1% you.

I say, GAME ON ! I know who will win.

More on this topic on my LRC post. http://lewrockwell.com/orig8/lepard5.1.1.html

The powers that be are polluting the well. They will pay for their hubris. Silver and Gold must be bought.

This was an exciting time, that ad could be modified slightly and run again, we should open a chip in and get it going.
Get it run just before Super Tuesday.
Open source once again with 2012 idea's added, and 2008 stuff taken out.

We need something like this to fire up the grassroots here..... something to rally behind. We need to come together and execute a plan, design it, pay for it, make it happen. Some of the best, and most fun times on these forums were everyone working together to design this, and the Ames Ad.

So RPF 12' do you accept the Class of 2007 challenge to make something happen? trust me it will be part of the Ron Paul experience you will never forget.

There is time, we have the basic template, somebody just needs to organize it, then the money needs to come in.
