This is where we run into trouble. Unless they verbatim *endorse*, they haven't endorsed. Branch is just retweeting his stuff. It doesn't make her a supporter unless she specifically tweets that she is a supporter, or that she endorses him. It's important verbiage, and unfortunately it's lacking from many of these so called celebrity supporters.

I think a lot of people get confused by the word 'endorsed'. Its my understanding that endorsing means the person has go.e on record stating that they adamantly support the candidate for whatever office they are running for... so a few of these folks on this list wouldn't apply. I don't care if you 'grew up with john mayer'. He has not publicly endorsed Ron Paul. Clint Eastwood has not endorsed ron Paul.

Blowback is not institutionally damning and serious. It can apply to a serious situation or it could apply to spitting into the wind. All that matters is that people miss a consequence of their actions, and if we do end up touting endorsements that don't exist we run the risk of facing negative press. Remember the Morgan Freeman/BJ Lawson fiasco?

Exactly what I was thinking. The list doesn't seem to be solid verified endorsements and saying they are will come back hard and bite Paul. I believe the morgan Freeman/ BJ lawson fiasco cost BJ the election. He was on a roll until that happened.

Wow - I had no idea that Ron and Fez were still on the air anywhere. I used to listen to them when it was Ron & Ron, with Fez as their helper. Larry the Cable Guy was a character that started calling in. They used to eat lunch in the same deli that we did.
