And hopefully we're not perfectionist and purist again. Mourdock could have won...now we have Donnelly who is moderate on all wrong issues and liberal on all other issues.
Yeah I was disappointed that Mourdock didn't win. He would have been one of the better senators in the senate, not the worst or the best a good ally on a handful of issues. We would have been better served as a movement if it were he instead of Donnelly.
I don't see anything wrong with being purists in our convictions but as a movement I think strategists have a key role to play. It would have been better strategy to get behind Mourdock and make it clear what was expected of him.
