Lindsey Graham: Ron Paul's policies a threat to America

I spent Tuesday in the Senate talking to the people who could, if they so chose, pass legislation in response to the Edward Snowden contretemps. They could (as Mike Lee and Jeff Merkley want) use the opportunity to build support for more declassification of FISA documents. Or they could (as most Republicans want) batter Snowden like he's the punk kid who graffiti'd their cars.

The key quote-monger in the story is Sen. Lindsey Graham, who firmly believes that "the world is the battlefield" in the great war on terror, and who is willing to go to some lengths to prosecute Snowden and Snowden-alikes. He wondered whether young "libertarian" types could be trusted to serve in classified positions when they proved that they weren't keen on the strategy. I asked him whether Snowden's donations to Ron Paul were the sort of warning signs vetters should have looked out for.

"No, no," said Graham. "I think people that give donations to Ron Paul are exercising their right to participate in the political process. Ron Paul isn't a threat to America. His policies are."

Boooo... Lindsey's the threat to the constitution and America.

At least he doesn't want to imprison or profile donors though unlike the famed troll allahpundit

Yep... and I'm a threat to Graham

***Disclaimer to NSA PRISM operators *** I'm not REALLY a threat to Graham, really I'm not

Graham can kiss my fuzzy ol' hillbilly ass!

RP is twice the man he ever dreamt of being.

Twice? How can you insult Ron Paul like that. Seriously, there's not even a multiple on this. Ron Paul is one of the best people to walk the planet. Lindsey Graham isn't even a man, or even a woman for that matter. He's a bona fide monster... As for donations to Ron Paul, ONLY people who donate to Ron Paul should be allowed in any position like this...

"No, no," said Graham. "I think people that give donations to Ron Paul are exercising their right to participate in the political process. Ron Paul isn't a threat to America. His policies are."

WOW!! I won't even give Lindsey the satisfaction of calling him a douche bag being that it is just a reservoir of liquid that can be injected into female anatomy. Hmmm... actually I have a small one located inside of me and, like most men, I love to discharge it. I see no insult there.

Rather I call Mr. Graham a Colostomy Bag... because then that would then imply that he is full of unrefined SHIAT!

Hey NSA, can go store that in your multi-billion dollar Utah data center.

This man is a disaster for the Constitution he swore to uphold, and he has the gall to say the guy defending it is 'a danger to America'?

Your front yard is a battlefield and you are an enemy combatant if you have an opinion that clashes with Graham's opinions. The war on terror is the war on your mind. Every time they claim they are successful, terrorism actually wins. Its more difficult than ever to travel unmolested. Nobody can expect not to be spied on. We are terrorized at every turn. The terrorists have won because the idiots elected them.

The only way Flimsey gets any press these days is to apologize for the surveillance state and take pot shots at the Pauls. Hit up much?

a bitter part of me hopes Snowden mysteriously releases Lindsey's internet browsing history and we find out he's into Mexican ladies w/donkeys....

Lindsey Graham: Ron Paul's Policies 'A Threat to America'

So said the totalitarian kommissar from South Carolina when asked by Slate whether donating to Ron Paul's campaigns should automatically disqualify someone from getting a security clearance.

Here is the exchange:

"He [Senator Graham} wondered whether young "libertarian" types could be trusted to serve in classified positions when they proved that they weren't keen on the strategy. I asked him whether Snowden's donations to Ron Paul were the sort of warning signs vetters should have looked out for.

"'No, no,' said Graham. 'I think people that give donations to Ron Paul are exercising their right to participate in the political process. Ron Paul isn't a threat to America. His policies are.'"

How far a leap is it from the mentality that the philosophy of liberty is a threat to America to calling for the gulag? Those who do not agree with Graham's attraction to perpetual war overseas and a police state at home are a "threat to America."

Not opponents in the debate: a threat.

When a Senator labels something a threat to America one should not be so naive to believe that he does not have the power to deal with that threat.

And here I thought that America stood for Liberty and Democracy. Without those, then you could say THAT AMERICA HAS CEASED TO EXIST. So who again is the real threat to America?!

Hopefully, South Carolinians will get rid of this scumbag, next election. He truly is a disgrace to the GOP, and the Congress.

I don't think Lindsey Graham will survive another election, he's built up about as many enemies as Dick Lugar. Hopefully he is replaced by a patriot and not a liberal, but I think he is being replaced either way.

And hopefully we're not perfectionist and purist again. Mourdock could have won...now we have Donnelly who is moderate on all wrong issues and liberal on all other issues.
