Lindsey Graham: "I'm a Ronald Reagan Republican NOT a Ron Paul Republican"

Graham is a real fraud... FITS have exposed him numerous times but nothing sticks.

He lied about being in service implying he was part of Operation desert storm when his job was writing wills for service men to be deployed and he was never deployed.

He then called himself a family man and traveled round the state when running for congress with a relative implying it was his wife when he's single.

He's a real, actual fraud and he has the audacity to call for war and god knows what else in his tough guy tone.

Now he wants to completely destroy the GOP with the Democrats with this insane immigration bill.

He's a real nasty piece of work and possibly a psycho.

dammit. Don't make me +rep you.

he's been saying that for years. Last time one of our guys who was on the GOP exec committee quit, changed parties, won the Dem primary, ran on about $40,000 war chest, and got 42% of the vote. And that was spur of the moment during election year.

Surely this time we can unseat him.

So you are expecting a lot of Dems to show up in the general election and vote for the liberty "Democrat?"

I see that SC is an open primary state. So another option would to mount a campaign to get Democrats to cross over in the primary and bounce Lindsey out of the general election. This was the strategy that worked successfully in Georgia to oust Cynthia McKinney (her 9-11 comments, pro Palestinian position, etc. had outraged Republicans so they sought to punish her).

look at the brighter side - at least there is a category like a "Ron Paul Republican", hopefully in due time this would be a "good" category compared to the neocons.

42% of SC did last time. the Democrat party endorsed Graham, as more liberal. The conservatives already broke rank and I think they'd be far more inclined to do so now, post everything.

And Ron was REALLY played as fringe then, all those predictions hadn't yet come true -- quite. Now they have. And he was running as a Ron Paul guy.

Davis has reiterated, time and time again, that he wants to focus on state-level politics. Not sure why you'd lump him in with Bright there.

because after that he said something about maybe rethinking, but I forget exactly what it was. I thought more might follow but nothing did.

You mean the Democrats endorsed the Republican over the Democrat in the general election?

Yep! It was hilarious.

First I ever heard of Jack Hunter was his articles calling for conservatives to support the Democrat because he was far more conservative than Graham.

Mace hasn't tweeted in over a week, she must be getting ready to run...

She would get as far against him as Cash the businessman with ice cream trucks.

It needs to be someone with a political base either from the state house or senate.

No newcomer will ever touch him.

Mace has name recognition and connection with the base of liberty Republicans. I'm pretty sure she functioned as a press/PR person for Davis and her public relations firm was involved with the Mulvaney, Scott, and Davis campaigns. She's got more of a base than people would be willing to give her credit for.

Delusional to think that. She will get no where.

No unknown ever beats an incumbent in a primary. Go look yourself. They almost always have to have an office.

Joe Miller ring a bell? All a primary challenger needs is money, and it will be flowing if Mace/Davis step up to the plate. Lindsey is pushing for taxes and amnesty at the worst time politically. Most primary challengers lose because they can't get a base of money.

Yep plus this gal has military clout and all the conservative PACs are just waiting for a credible challenger they can fund and take out one of the most detested Senators in the GOP. Because it is such a test of grassroots vs establishment we need to really fight hard on this. Bragging rights and party trajectory are on the line here.

Is Mr. Miller a senator?
