I donated $30 off your website link Sematary. I have been dreaming for an event on this magnitude and can't wait to help make it possible. We must get behind this people! Time to show the world were not just spammers.

I will gladly donate more money if we need more in the short term for insurance. I will not let this historic rally slip through the cracks because of a few hundred dollars, I mean "federal reserve notes"

Also why does it say this topic has been moved? and where has it moved to. This event needs to be a sticky or a new section altogether.

I just spoke with the insurance guy who will speak with the Park Service Special Events coordinator so it is the proper commercial insurance for the event. We are looking at about $900 at this point for the insurance ($1 million liability coverage, plus some other stuff).

I have also paid another $50 for the application fee, so we can use everybody's help.

We are now at $270 and it would be great to have this wrapped up with the Park Service ASAP.

To what extent are we trying to keep this event "under wraps" until the detail are firmed up? Because I'd like spread this around on other venues to try and get the donations up. As was said at first we only need 40 people to donate $25 to cover the insurance. Frankly, I'm disappointed that wasn't raised in an hour. If folks on ronpaulforums.com won't cough up I'll start fishing elsewhere to get this covered. We should have this hours ago and been working on paying for the stage, equipment and entertainment.

I have a suggestion for the event. Get a good recording of the event most especially Dr. Paul's speech. Preferably with two cameras mounted on tripods. One somewhat close to the broadcast/PA speakers to get a good capture of the sound. Put the raw footage of both cameras on the internet, youtube, ftp, ect. Then people like Aravoth can have some good stable footage with good sound to mold into future tv, radio and youtube spots.

It would be nice to have a high quality camera and get a good high res capture.

OK, it looks like we'll probably have the insurance money in the next day or so. Should we start trying to push general contributions for the event itself. Is there a reasonably concise summation on some existing thread of what we are trying to do so I can get others as fired up as I feel? I'll throw one together my self if I have to, I just don't want to duplicate effort that has already been expended.
