To those attending, PLEASE bring some voter registration forms.
North Carolina has a SEMI-CLOSED primary.
This means that voters registered with another party (Libertarian, Democrat, etc.) MUST register Republican, but Unaffiliated voters (those not registered with any party) CAN vote in the Republican primary.
The deadline to register to vote and change parties is April 13, 2012, but we need to start making sure everyone attending Ron Paul events are registered because these are the ones that are most likely going to vote for Dr. Paul. We missed chances to get people registered at Ron's events in New York and Louisiana and we can't let that happen anymore.
I just got back from this. There was a good crowd. I'm not sure how many though. Ron had a good speech. There were some people taking videos, so I'm sure they will pop up in the next couple of days. I wanted to wait around and see if I could meet Ron, but my wife had called me a bunch of times during his speech and I had to get out of there (she's not a Ron Paul fan), and I had to make a good excuse for where I was.
