Liberty Forest Future

Yes, and I hope we can discuss and come up with a new product for new people.
I think that right now is the prime time for a product that aquaints new disenfranchised people with the ideas of liberty.
But the focus of this forum for the past few years has been getting Ron elected.

There was a saying that I heard somewhere, and even though I'm not a christian (or of any faith), it goes something like "Jesus came preaching the Kingdom of God, Christians come preaching Jesus".

We could generally do with a new Constitution/Liberty convention.

Get all the great minds together for one big public symposium.

We are part of a growing movement, growing up even, mainstreaming. The tent is getting bigger. It's inevitable. Good discussion here.

major themes I'm interested in are: emphasizing what we're for (instead of what we're against), continued eye on the media, dispelling the false L/R paradigm, ongoing activism and candidate/legislator support at all levels, and important legislation & voting records.

This place is definitely 'Ron Paul Forums', not "Liberty Forest."

They do own the domain for libertyforest.com, so don't be surprised if ronpaulforums.com redirects to that in the near future (libertyforest.com redirects to the ron paul domain as of now).

When it comes to bringing in people on the fence here, i would just like to show the area we'll they'll have to decide.

As far the the OPs take on educating (waking the masses). This board in its current form is like trying to use a screwdriver to cut a 4x4 wooden beam. Instead, as it is currently operationg, it plays more a role of catering to the inside club to kick the spit rather than ALSO including an efficient means of growing the revolution via waking the masses and forming coalitions with those who have common ground.

If we are ever to really spread via this board as a hub. There would have to be a massive overhaul in how things are organized. Many areas blocked off would need to be opened up for consumption by the masses. Many here would have to determine that coalitions and mutual respect for common ground would indeed take preference over the chior club (see "preeching to the chior" effect).

Liberty forest is great... But the common ground has to be Liberty not only Libertarian.. or only Liberty GOP or.. whatever one bag flavor.

With all that, more open and clear board organization of categories, forums, forum topics / descriptions and subforums would give platform for a HUGE volume of influx of those in search of liberty to come together in common ground to learn & organize and lead to untold mass awakenings as folks from different walks find their path to liberty. You can expand the base yet maintain integrety. Just have to be willing to do it.

But this is just my take as far as the board goes (comming from someone who has went as far as setting up a demo board many months ago in hopes of opening the discussion on the matter).

I would suggest trying not to ban people too much, as we want to encourage high volume and high traffic. No one wants to come to a ghost town. Keep it fun, keep it lively, let the moderation be a value-added, not a hindrance.
