I know this has been discussed already, but I wanted to give some input and get some feedback more precisely.

Ron Paul talked about "educating" people rather than running for office in the video on The GreatEnabler : The Rise of the Federal Reserve http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehh77k0rgPs

We have people here from all walks of life, this would be a great place to educate people interactively.

The following are my thoughts, of course I don't own the forum, so this just discussion.

Forum/subforum design:
Tear down old house/foundation (old ideas, beginner, arguments, hot topics)
Build new foundation (freedom/liberty/non-agression principal)
What kind of new house (future)

It would great if we could get people list Tom Woods onboard with the forum for some time, but there are lots of people already here that can be very helpful.

Remember, Education, new people, spread/grow "Liberty Forest"

I think some plans are already in the works, but education is a huge part of this movement overall. Don't we have an education forum? Do you mean political activism as education? Isn't that part of what we have always done?

I guess I don't understand the 'tear down' part.

Tom Woods is doing a liberty college thing, by the way, that you can sign up for.

Completely agree. Need to refocus and rebuild. We cant become divided and discouraged. Maybe we need subforums for state house, state senate, us house, us senate. This way we can focus on who is running for specific positions.

I also see a market for other general politics/ freedom living subforums. We as a community should grow, not divide.

I completely agree. It is vitally important to stick together.

I know Tom Woods is doing an online thing, but I'm talking about bringing in those that aren't looking for "freedom classes". People who know something is wrong, but maybe the democrats have the answer or whatever. Those that think there is a need for redistribution of wealth to some extent because of how things are, but why are they that way?

I'm talking about those that may have lower IQ's that just can't figure it out, that see both sides, but don't really know what is really going on in the belly of the beast.

Expanding the base through "Interactive" education as a "strong" focus.

SA, the "tear down" part is the tearing down of the propandized non-reality.

What exactly does tearing down "propagandized non-reality" entail? Is that getting rid of notions like the two-party system functions properly, the non-aggression principle can be applied pragmatically to large societies, we can grow our way out of the debt crisis, etc?

Yep, along those lines. But the newbie would lead the topic conversation instead of us dictating, we would lead to truth, not with a whip but with persuation. "Show them where the food is, we are all hungry, it's over here and you can see it for yourself. You don't have to believe me." rEVOLution.

Has Ron Paul ever posted on this site? Wait, does he even have an account? Since he is retiring, maybe he can join in and edumacate us. I wish more "main streamers" would join in and have a few discussions with us on here.

Agree with Brian, talking about candidates wasnt high traffic.
Maybe the sections should be set up like this,

Political activism
*Federal
*state,
*local
Non-political activism
*Agorism
*Jury nullification
*Civil disobedience
*Etc

Yes. We can give Ron Admin powers with a Super Ban hammer.

You guys are talking about places for activists and we already have that.
I'm talking about Ron's desire to "Educate".

i don't feel like we have what i was referring to

i feel like we have already have what you and ron refer to as educate. please help me understand. what give me the thread title of a hypothetical thread that you think is out of place with the current forum structure.

I like the idea. You would probably have to have forums for each category of issues and subforums for individual issues. Like under the Economy forum you have subforums for monetary policy, trade policy, subsidies, etc.

If we get that going sufficiently then we should raise money for TV ads to wake the sheep up while they are watching American Idol or what have you. You could put the url to the site in the ad.

And what is the symbolic cutover date to re-brand as Liberty Forest again?

The election...? Dec 31...? When Ron Paul leaves his Congressional seat...?
