NC businessman Bob Luddy Joins Liberty For All Finance Committee to Defend Congressman Walter Jones.

On Thursday, May 30th, 2013, Liberty For All Action Fund announced a new addition to their national finance committee, North Carolina Businessman Bob Luddy.

“Liberty For All has pledged to defend Walter Jones, and I’m excited to raise funds to support his re-election,” Luddy said.

Earlier this week, Liberty For All pledged to raise and spend whatever it takes to defend Jones. “I’m proud to have Bob Luddy on the team. Congressman Jones is one of the few members of congress with a moral compass, and we’ll do whatever’s necessary to defend him,” said LFA co-founder, John Ramsey.

Congressman Walter Jones has proudly represented North Carolina’s third congressional district since 1992. Liberty For All is a grassroots pro-liberty organization with thousands of members founded in March 2012 to elect candidates who care about civil liberties and economic freedom.

A county commissioner is also thinking about entering the race:

Walter will be fine.

Have to see some polling but not really worried.

I'm a big Walter fan, but how about we send most of that North Carolina money to Brannon and Gunny?

If prospective candidates for office think that by standing with us they'll become vulnerable to primary challenges, they either won't run in the first place or will betray us once in office. Defending those we already have is as or more important than expanding our ranks.

Bob Luddy is a good guy. He is taking a not-insignificant political risk to his standing, but he has the money so he will never be blackballed.

Any particular reason, just for curiosity?

Some may attack his record on voting for animal right bills and supporting Dodd Frank, but his fiscal record has greatly improved. I used to be against him too, but I'm going to support him for 2014.
