Liberty Candidates in Indiana - PARADE REPORT

Big parade today here in Elkhart County, Indiana. The Elkhart County 4-H Fair is underway, which means that one of the largest parades in the state happened this afternoon. Out of all the political groups that showed up, two of the local liberty candidates had the largest groups of supporters. Curt Nisly who is the republican nominee for State Rep had a fantastic showing, and they had a great reception along the route. (Curt really worked the crowd, which is something more candidates should start doing.)

Sheriff Brad Rogers who is running for re-election also had a good group, with around 25 supporters walking and riding with his entry. It was his turn to lead the parade this year, and one man put his signs on his tractor. (So people along the route where exposed to him, or his campaign three times during the parade.) You had one or two hecklers, but they were drowned out by supporters along the way. It is interesting that they aren't mad at him for police brutality, mismanaging the department, or anything that would immediately come to mind. They are upset that he is a constitutional sheriff, who honors his oath of office. Local democrats have chosen a local janitor to run against him.

The democratic entries in the parade where... rather amusing. The congressional candidate had around 10 supporters walking with him, and they resorted to sending a couple of them to walk with the republicans to try and make them look bad. Ethical campaigning for sure... :D

All in all, it was a great way to get the message out and have fun doing it. Do YOU walk with liberty candidates in your local parades?

Great work, the Indiana Liberty movement makes us all proud. You all are wonderful!
Keep your chins up lads, and yer powder dry!

I have a few Indiana parades people can walk in for liberty candidates if they live in the Louisville metro (So Indiana) side of the river. Message me for some dates.

Thanks! We really don't have any state organization at all. (Which would be nice...) But we have still managed to pull off some very nice wins recently.

What happened to UFC fighter Chris Lytle? He was a Pauler and Schiff fan.

I googled him, and saw he lost a three way primary bid in 2012. He came in a solid second, don't really know much about him to tell you the truth. In a different part of the state.

Hope you can get some people. Good way to pump supporters up, and spread the message.

Same with most of us around the nation, we just have local contacts. We really need to get more organized though.

Yeah, most of the people who want to "take charge" simply don't have the knowhow or skill to organize effectively and work with others. The ones that could, are sane enough not to try. :D

How did they try to make them look bad?

I have to disagree a bit because I'm involved in 2 statewide organizations.

There's the Indiana RLC which recently re-chartered in order to be that organization AND there's a secret one too. ;) hehe

Getting out and involved in parades and such gives people a way to connect to those who are already connected.

By wearing "Republicans Back Bock" T-Shirts, I am assuming they are trying to make it look like the local GOP is fractured. Sure there are a number of people not supporting Walorski due to various issues, but I am pretty sure they aren't going to Bock's camp...

True, forgot that the RLC re-chartered then. I do know that in the northern part of Indiana, the individual campaigns do the lifting.
