This is an open and safe GOP seat. It is an opportunity for US to WIN!

He mentions Bastiat at around 12:30 minutes. He also mentions his opposition to the United Nations and Agenda 21.

I e-mailed him about the Patriot Act, NDAA, and CISPA, and he answered me in less than 24 hours. Here are his response:

Here are some of his responses:
1. Would you have supported raising the debt ceiling?
Response: I would not have supported the debt ceiling increase that passed last year. It was a bad deal all the way around. The military will bear the brunt of those cuts. A new debt ceiling debate is coming and we should be implementing a balanced budget amendment and entitlement reform in order to increase the debt ceiling. If we can't get meaningful spending reforms, then the debt ceiling should not be increased.

2. What departments would you decrease or eliminate?

Response: Department of Education should be eliminated. The Department of Energy should be eliminated or significantly reduced. The EPA must be reduced, and I would also add in the Department of Agriculture for significant reduction.

3. Do you support the RSC budget (Note to readers: the one that Justin Amash supported)?
Response: I am in full support of the Republican Study Committee's budget.

4. Do you support indefinite detention (passed by the NDAA of 2012)?
Response: I do not support the indefinite detention of US citizens. The rights enshrined in the US Constitution are not goal posted that can be moved depending on the situation. The rights and liberties of the individual is what makes America the exception to world history.

5. Do you support the Patriot Act and CISPA?
Response: I do not think we should re-authorize the Patriot Act and my major misgivings about CISPA is the mass sharing of private information to the federal government. My hope is that CISPA does not become law, and that provisions related to information sharing be scrutinized to protect the liberties of the American people.

Byron is a great candidate and definitely a step above by being anti-NDAA and anti-UN. It'd be nice to have a young and eloquent minority at the forefront of the movement.

Awesome. I agree completely. +rep.

From what little polling I've found, it seems like Donalds is the favorite to win the primary.

Whoa, he just mentioned Bastiat, slammed the Treaty of the Seas, The Fed, and Agenda 21... All in a few seconds!
Here is his facebook by the way: https://www.facebook.com/byrondonalds

And that is why the establishment hates him. They are running negative ad attacks against him...accusing him of being a Democrat spy (which is absolutely false). He used to be a Democrat but only because his parents were Democrats. After listening to speeches at the NACCP, he began wondering why he was a member and a Democrat. He decided to do some research and realized that he disagreed with the Democrats on most of their policies. He switched and became a conservative-libertarian leaning Republican.

Dude seems legit. Does he need cash?

To combat the negative attacks against him, any donations would be great. Here's his site: https://secure.piryx.com/donate/RcKYzdR6/ByronDonalds/

He is running an ad right now. If we can get him to congress, he promises to fight against indefinite detention, the Patriot Act, and CISPA. He is a true fiscal conservative. Let's get him to victory!

he almost says "as we libertarians" and then catches himself halfway through liberty haha
