Come to one of Libertopia's first official screenings! Meet and talk to Libertopia subject and local Andrew Carroll about his decision to join the FSP. It's also Andrew's 21st birthday, so it will double as a celebration!

Free to attend. Limited DVDs will be available for purchase.

About the Film:
...In 2001, a great migration began, slowly, but with great urgency. The Free State Project is one part Exodus, one part activism. Its participants are not bound for any promised land, but rather seek to build one. Their goal: for 20,000 libertarian-minded individuals to pack up and move to New Hampshire, creating the first “free state,” one that believes in—and votes for—freedom through a more limited government.

- 18 year-old Whittier local Andrew Carroll leaves his friends and family behind to seek office.
- A tireless activist plants roots in a new community and struggles upstream to forge a freer society.
- Over nine months, a man hikes along highways, past skyscrapers and through small towns across America, from one coast to the other.

Libertopia is a nation-trekking examination of a high-minded, but ultimately practical, group of people and their beliefs. The result is a reasoned argument for libertarianism/limited government, and a microscopic view of a growing, 10,000-person strong movement with three of its sojourners as the lens. The style is upbeat but deeply human—often amusing and at times heartbreaking—and by its end the audience cannot help but yearn to breathe freer themselves.
