Libertarian themed or libertarian friendly TV shows?

Smurfs. At first glance you may think it's a socialistic society run by a patriarch. But every member has a unique talent that they use to live a happy existence. It's the free market expressed as individuals - here's the handy carpenter, here's the farmer, and even a few used to show that you need cheap labor but won't be happy not offering anything special - grumpy.

Alright, it might not be totally libertarian, I just really liked those blue guys as a kid :)

I second Deadwood. A lot of the show was about how the Federal Government was trying to move in and "protect" the town. By "protect" they meant extract money from.

Al Swearengen was the best.

I stopped myself from watching that clip, im only at the start of the second season!

And yes add deadwood to the list.

Ron Swanson is the funniest TV character of the last three years and arguably the greatest libertarian character in TV history.

Agreed, but I don't think the writers are libertarian. They're poking fun at libertarians.

進撃の巨人/Shingeki no Kyojin/Attack on Titan

It's a cartoon, but definitely not for children. It may seem strange at first, especially if you're not familiar with anime, but there are definitely liberty themes in there.

One Piece is a very libertarian anime about pirates who can be good, gray, or evil, but they are pretty much anyone who refuses to obey the tyrannical World Government. Freedom is a strong central theme, and there are plenty of diverse factions, revolutions, and battles against the World Government. It's very long though, currently on episode 641 and still ongoing.

Geez, is that still going on? I remember watching it when I was in high school.

I marathoned the first season yesterday because of your recommendation... aaaaaaand I'm traumatized. It was great though!

Yeah, it's been around forever. I don't know how old you are but when it first came to the States it was done by 4Kids Entertainment and HEAVILY censored. Funimation took it over a few years ago and redid everything so it's no longer censored.
