Libertarian National Convention

Arguing the details of the issues between Ruwart and Barr is wasted typing and wasted breath.

If you must know Ruwart actually disagrees with Ron Paul on two major issues:

1 - Immigration
2 - Abortion

But that doesn't really matter. The issue details don't matter. Not one of them is going to be President. The best strategy is to support Barr for the nomination here. He is the only one who has a chance at getting the necessary media exposure to help continue the Ron Paul message. NONE of the others do.

Technical differences on the issues between these Libertarian candidates matter not one iota, unless you are married to the Libertarian Party. If you are married to the Ron Paul message, the clear logical choice is Bob Barr.

This is the one case where I will not make the effort of arguing the issue technicalities. This time it's all about answering the following question:

Which candidate has the best chance of continuing to spread Ron Paul's message of freedom, prosperity, and peace?

If you don't answer Bob Barr, then you aren't paying attention.

Enjoy.

Barr won. Even a block delegate vote from Gravel's delegates can't win it for her. Root's delegates will block vote for Barr and will crush Ruwart.

The end

Root might even endorse Barr

If Bob Barr were actually spreading that message I'd agree with you

LOL he's got Gravel's support. Takes a fake Libertarian to know one I guess.

Ah, another person who never gets anything done. Here's to the libertarian stagnation...no progress in years!\

Barr is spreading the message..you just stick your finger in your ears when he speaks. He's turned over a new leaf, and you're just stubborn.

Is Barr for no amnesty?

I don't give a damn about securing the border. I just want no amnesty as a pledge.

Do you ever shut up? They aren't neocons. Anyone who isn't a die hard Libertarian 20 year member who hasn't accomplished anything is a Neocon. I'm voting for someone who WILL make progress.

Why TF should I ... you don't.

Barr won't change a darn thing. This is nothing but a move to co-opt the LP.

And parties don't really change anything anyway not in a major way -- people, events, changes in technology, society, demographics, etc. those things change everything -- the parties just follow with the winds and milk them.

Better to "get nothing done" than to go in the WRONG direction

Better to create stepping stones toward the right direction than go in the wrong direction! The libertarians have NEVER gotten anything done and it's part of the reason we are in the predicament we are in today!

Results...

Ruwart - 229
Barr - 223
Root - 165

NOTA (a.k.a. Ron Paul) - 6

It's over for Ruwart.

Root's supporters are going to break heavily for Barr. He could capture it this round!
