Lew Rockwell is a fanatic. His site provides good content for people who want to study the academics of market economics and libertarianism, but he's a disaster when it comes to finding a practical application for any of his viewpoints.

Sometimes tough love is the best love. I very much want Rand to win the GOP nomination. If there is any chance of that happening, he needs to radically overhaul his pitch to the electorate. Of COURSE this was bound to happen.

Rand violated the very strategies Rothbard (whom I vehemently disagree with) laid out in Ethics of Liberty concerning strategy.

And the "right opportunism" demonstrated by some and "left sectarianism" by others like Rockewell, is the predictable result.

For me, he has lost the message of the remnant, and he is not a strong enough Christian. But that could change. As many problems as I have with what Rand has said, it's small potatos compared to the problems I have with his competition. It wouldn't take Rand much really to revive the message either.

Funny how the media is blathering 24/7 about Rand Paul's failed campaign when he's in the first debate and a whole host of their current and former darlings are not. And funnier how often the people here bawling over spilt milk and trying to encourage Rand Paul to do the stupidest things he could possibly do--and encouraging us to abandon him if he does not--pile on and make posts at such a rate you'd swear they had no other job at all.

I haven't cared for Lewrockwell.com for some time now because he lets just about every idiot post on his website, but I don't see any "giddy" in that tweet. I wonder if this is some kind of dog whistle only Trump fan boys can hear.

The first is merely a neutrally and fairly worded question, and the second is, at worst, a provocative attention getter (de rigueur for social media). But for the life of me, I am unable to detect any "giddiness" in either remark ...

But I do detect an OP who is downright giddy if he can ever drive a wedge between any libertarians and any libertarian site. Or convince any libertarians to pressure Rand Paul to do things that might put him in better with rank and file Republicans, but will tarnish his best selling point--that he can actually win the general election. Or if he can simply spread a little doom and gloom to brighten our days.

Not Lew Rockwell himself but one of the paleocon writers that now dominate his website is the one who said he liked what Trump is doing in the primaries. To these people, immigration is everything and not just actual policy but the way the immigration policy (or lack of it) is discussed.

Who said you have to be George Wallace with nasty invectives? It's very simple. No special privileges for certain groups since it is antithetic to liberty. And that goes for Israel to married couples and every aggrieved special interest in the nation. Secondly, we are being bilked on an untold scale due to those emotionally manipulative causes. We needed Obamacare because of the perennially uninsured. We need illegal aliens for the sake of diversity. Until you start confronting these abhorrent lies, the tragic results will be same.

But you are not a politician, people with purity tests don't go around applying to every civilian they meet. So my guess is that if he uses a purity test at all, him being nice to you is no indication of how he would treat a politician who fails his purity test.
