Letterman hates Rand

Wow, that was pretty brazenly political. Know Letterman is a leftist, but never watch him so didn't know he does segments like that. Basically no different than Olbermann's Worst Person In The World lists; maybe this unfunny hack can get a job at MSNBC after his late night career blessedly comes to an end.

I don't think the crowd seemed to like it too much. Yeah, there was laughter, but nowhere near what there usually is.

Didn't someone in the past have a "Worst xxx ever" or something and he ended up off air or something...hmmmm maybe this guy is headed the same way.

awwwwww....letterman butthurt about something?

yes, he's very butthurt about the defeated gun control bill, he ripped Rand for it last week when Rand got his first Stooge of the Night award, and then went on a really long awkward dialogue about Rand's hair and how the people of Kentucky elected a toupee to the senate, it's at 16:00 in the below video if anyone wants to watch it but you have to wait thru a bunch of ads.

You are as annoying as any other neocon that I know.

WTF, over? Klamath may be many things but calling him a neocon is just fn stupid.

Is this what we have become?

MY GOD someone has the wrong color shirt HE IS TEH ENEMY

wake the hell up people

we hate on our own more than we work to stop the real enemy.

We have met the enemy and he is us

Because 99% with us is more hateful to us than 100% enemy

the only reason we havent won yet is because we are frikkin stupid. We hate on our own because they aren't 1000% lockstep with us.

Unless we learn to get beyond that we deserve to lose. Sorry but it's true.

So I'm way too deep on Jefferson's Rye Whisky right now but it's still dam true.

We are our own worst enemy. Forget neocons. We kill each other because we wear the wrong brand of shoes and stuff equally stupid.

At some point I'm going to start wondering why the hell I even try.

Shit like this America deserves to die. Even the freakin liberty movement is insane.

I haven't seen any libertarians supporting gun control but here in this topic klamath alleged they are.

Well, it wasn't funny. It was political commentary that's really not appropriate for a comedy show.

Letterman's been running this segment for a couple weeks now (at least the few times I've watched). He puts up the face of a senator who voted against Manchin-Toomey up for a solid 1-2 minutes. There is no joke to the segment. It's entirely political which is why few people laugh. The idea is that Letterman thinks that if he leaves the face on screen for 1-2 minutes, he can inspire people to write their senator and demand he vote for gun legislation. He believes the '90% support this' statistics, so he thinks that if he just talks about these senators that he can get them replaced since they're obviously as unpopular as he thinks they are. I'm curious if he'll mention the Democratic senators that voted against Manchin-Toomey.
