maybe 12 million isn't necessary, but it is symbolic. 
Well, it would be easier to make it to 11 million by Sunday. We have 5 days, including what is left of today, and we have been averaging a mere $20k a day. If we get up to $31k today and each day until the tea party, we will crest the $11million mark just in time for it.

I think it's safe to say.. ignore anyone who says we should categorically ignore anyone with less than 50 posts. Because, let's get real, unless someone has posted at least 317 times their opinion doesn't really matter. This is completely logical and in no way arbitrary, so don't even try to disagree with me.
That said, save your money for the 16th. We're looking for headlines, and "New one-day fund raising record of $X million for Ron Paul" sounds a hell of a lot more impressive than "Ron Paul surpasses 4th Quarter fund raising goal before December 16th but even better than that on December 16th he got a new one-day fund raising record of $(X-1.2) million."

I'm really looking forward to donating on the 16th, but I wonder how many people are aware of the fact that the big donation day is on the 16th. Up until 3 days ago, I was under the impression that it was a Tea Party weekend on the 15th AND 16th.
I don't think it will matter in the end. Anything above 4 million is a victory.
