Who cares about Bush anymore? Pretty much anybody in government ends up toward the bottom of the chart, on the left somewhere. 90% or more of the politicans and bureaucrats would answer this question as a 4, including Bushie.

How many laws did he sign or issues that he pushed for during the 8 years he had the highest office in the land were from the standpoint of reducing the power of the government? *The taxcuts don't count because he didn't reduce spending and basically put it on credit instead of paying the bills.

Hell, answer that same question in regards to Obama's presidency so far.

He got points off for the Alien and Sedition Acts and for instituting a central bank. And for an embargo against Britain and France.

Also, I assumed he wanted the government out of the marriage business.

Those laws, such as the Patriot Act have yet to been repealed. I remember many Democrates saying they would work to get rid of it, and yet now they working to expand it, and incress its power. Same with Republicans who are saying they well work to repeal Obamacare, and yet only few have sing onto the bill to do it, and Ron Pauls bill is going no were.
