We're trying to get a Ron Paul billboard put up on I-24 in Nashville TN. As you probably already know Tennessee is home to republican rival candidate Ron Paul. If we get this up now we'll beat Fred to the punch for having a billboard up in this area! I know folks may be tapped out from the "money bombs" but if you have some money to spare please consider chipping into this.

That would be a message in the Media:

Ron Paul supporters add thousands of Ron Paul signs
all around the major Frontrunners residences. :D

Truckers from Iowa and NH will likely see it as I-24 is a major artery from Atlanta and the SE. I-65 needs one also.

Murfreesboro here :D

Nashville is a Huge market because three major interstates (I-65, I-24 and I-40) all converge here. Tons of interstate travelers and truckers pass through here each day on their way to other destinations so it's not just the locals that will be seeing this. It would also be good to have something like this here in the 'bible-belt' as we need to have really good showings here. Without winning the south, Dr. Paul's chances are much slimmer.

the OP was clearly kidding about the backyard thing.

Nashville is the number one town on the east coast for shipping and trucking centers. its essentially the central traffic point for the whole east coast, and i24 is a really busy one

No, financial resources should not be dedicated to a non-early primary state.

Tennessee's primary is February 5th. In this compressed season every state is an early primary state! Hey, if you don't want to donate don't. But why attempt dictate to others how to donate?

How much does a billboard cost?

That varies for different locations. This one cost $3,500 for one month but it's an extremely high traffic area. Something else people should consider. This isn't just about winning votes in Tennessee. It's about increasing general awareness about the candidate and (hopefully) recruiting new volunteers. (We are the "volunteer state" after all. ;)] Every new Ron Paul supporter anywhere is someone else who can call Iowa and New Hampshire, donate money etc.
