Buying items from the campaign office is a nice way to get around the donation limits.
Where do you think the revenues from buying the book from the campaign store go? To the campaign, of course. I think it's better to give more money directly to the campaign and get the book than to give a smaller amount of money to the campaign (and that's assuming people also donate) and give the rest to Amazon for the book. Sure if you buy the book from the campaign store Amazon won't track it, but is it really worth it to give less money to the campaign just to have a shot at making the sales totals of the book go up on Amazon? Will it really make a difference? Will anyone, particularly the media, even take notice? Maybe if we really gave it a huge boost, but as someone else pointed out in this thread, that's a tall order to fill because of the huge number of people buying the book that would be required to give it such a boost and we need to be realistic about that.
Looks like there'll be 2nd printing.

As ranked on Amazon as of 11/1/07
Ron Paul's Book #204
Obama's Book #939
Giuliani's book #8,313
Hillary Clinton's book #11,575
Huckabee's book #14,832
Mitt Romney's book #58,039
Somebody should write an article on this
Much as I like the book (i've bought two copies), I think we need to be realistic.
#1 on Amazon requires quite a few people to purchase the book. It's a big number. Definitely more than three.
Is there a more reachable goal we could set?
The problem is that those other books have been on the market longer. I would like to see a total sales comparison.
If you're going to buy the book, buy it from the campaign store.

No it isn't. Any money, including profit from items you purchase, is included in the $2300 limit.
