Let's have a coordinated Ron Paul shirt wearing day! All nationwide RP supporters!

would be a good idea if it wasnt getting colder already.. are we gonna walk around without jackets in the middle of winter for a day?

Ron Paul Jackets.... now thats an idea.

Granted, a Bumper Sticker / Button might do the job.

Is there a T-Shirt out there that says this really big?

ASK ME
ABOUT
RON PAUL

Get thyself an iron-on transfer & access to an ink jet printer. Print really big letters from MS Word... iron on shirt. Whalla! (super cheap & FUN, too!) :D

oh yeah, don't have a shirt yet (might have to make one) but I'm in, too! Think of the commradarie seeing all those other RP shirts will do for our own moralle... Black Friday, here we come!!

I think this is an awesome idea! Is anyone working on the website yet? You could put a graph on it for the # of pledges of who will attend that day.

I'd also recommend everyone that wants to do this has key talking points memorized and slim jims, buttons, etc to pass around.

I HATE Black Friday, but let's face it most of the time people are just standing in line waiting. It's a perfect opportunity to start talking to people and generate some support.

OH and let's tie this in with the Boston Tea Party money bomb!

A single color isn't a bad idea. That way if we get any late supporters they could join us on Black Friday.

We could easily create some new flyers to pass out that day For example, Christmas checklists for everyone with Ron Paul's bio on it. People will be less likely to throw them out.

I go to Des Moines every Thanksgiving. This gives me a reason to go shopping with them on Friday.

Im glad this idea finally got picked up.

Could meetup members send this message out please? Ill post it for our meetup. Id like to see this become a grassroots sensation. Seeing so many supporters out in one day is sure to make an impression. Especially since we are labeled as kooks or liberitarians.

We do need delegates, but this is something we can get EVERYONE to rally around. Alot of people support Dr. Paul, but getting them to put in real volunteer work is a bit of a challenge at times.

Quick, someone whip up a web site!

Yeah, I think we should get a web site as well. What do you think of this... a web site where poeple can pledge to wear Ron Paul gear, but you could also sell shirts and pins on the shop so people will have something to wear? That would be kickass.

Also, we'd need like a catchy name or something. How about Shop for Freedom? Any other ideas?

I would think that a promotional effort that actually makes a real difference, like say DELEGATE DAY would be a much better use of time than everyone wearing shirts the same day.

In fact, the idea of everyone wearing shirts on the same day is kinda creepy. Just wear your shirt a lot.

I'm not worried about it being creepy... and while everyone should wear their shirts a lot, I think it would be invaluable to have everyone wear their shirts at the same time. Think about it... if you are an ordinary shopper, and you saw 1, then 2, then a third, and then by the end of the day you had seen like 10+ ron paul shirts/buttons/et cetera... that'd be pretty big, no? It'd definitely make a statement.

I think this would be especially useful because people would see ron paul shirts at odd times throughout the day. I mean, it's one thing when you see 10 ron paul supporters at once, all wearing shirts and sign waving or something. It's another thing entirely when you see 10 different people at random intervals throughout your day wearing Ron Paul shirts, not even promoting him but just shopping. That'd be cool, no?

The point being that if a lot of Paul supporters visible in public at the same time it might draw another round of media attention.

I think its more of an organized ad campaign using human billboards.

Yeah, and not even the media attention... it would get a lot of invaluable person to person attention. All these ordinary shoppers will see ron paul supporters randomly throughout their day. Sends a pretty good message!

Yes! Let's definitely make a website. Who can make one?

I created a draft mini-flyer for Black Friday Is there any way to upload the files onto this thread?

I saw this thread and immediately purchased a great sweatshirt to wear (too cold now to wear my tshirts) I will encourage our meet up groups to do it too!

We need someone to make a website... who is good with that?

We can sell shirts and pins to wear on it. Maybe, if we can get pins for cheap enough, we can offer to send them out for free? We'll see.

Anyways, it could have a counter too, where you can sign up and pledge, and it could say shop for freedom or something... who is good at this kind of stuff?

Cool is good, delegates are needed to win the election.

No delegates, no win. We need to get that through to everyone in the grassroots. Particularly since Dr. Paul is not on the ballot in several areas still. The offline activism is lacking.
