Quick, someone whip up a web site!
Yeah, I think we should get a web site as well. What do you think of this... a web site where poeple can pledge to wear Ron Paul gear, but you could also sell shirts and pins on the shop so people will have something to wear? That would be kickass.
Also, we'd need like a catchy name or something. How about Shop for Freedom? Any other ideas?
I would think that a promotional effort that actually makes a real difference, like say DELEGATE DAY would be a much better use of time than everyone wearing shirts the same day.
In fact, the idea of everyone wearing shirts on the same day is kinda creepy. Just wear your shirt a lot.
I'm not worried about it being creepy... and while everyone should wear their shirts a lot, I think it would be invaluable to have everyone wear their shirts at the same time. Think about it... if you are an ordinary shopper, and you saw 1, then 2, then a third, and then by the end of the day you had seen like 10+ ron paul shirts/buttons/et cetera... that'd be pretty big, no? It'd definitely make a statement.
I think this would be especially useful because people would see ron paul shirts at odd times throughout the day. I mean, it's one thing when you see 10 ron paul supporters at once, all wearing shirts and sign waving or something. It's another thing entirely when you see 10 different people at random intervals throughout your day wearing Ron Paul shirts, not even promoting him but just shopping. That'd be cool, no?
The point being that if a lot of Paul supporters visible in public at the same time it might draw another round of media attention.
I think its more of an organized ad campaign using human billboards.
Yeah, and not even the media attention... it would get a lot of invaluable person to person attention. All these ordinary shoppers will see ron paul supporters randomly throughout their day. Sends a pretty good message!
I think this is an awesome idea! Is anyone working on the website yet? You could put a graph on it for the # of pledges of who will attend that day.
I'd also recommend everyone that wants to do this has key talking points memorized and slim jims, buttons, etc to pass around.
I HATE Black Friday, but let's face it most of the time people are just standing in line waiting. It's a perfect opportunity to start talking to people and generate some support.
OH and let's tie this in with the Boston Tea Party money bomb!
Yes! Let's definitely make a website. Who can make one?
