It seems far from an ideal strategy to unseat a well funded incumbent. I like both candidates but ultimately all I want is Grahamnesty gone.

me too. but since they seem to have a run off system, the damage isnt as bad as it would be in a state like i live in. Bright has a record like sanford and demint, and thats good enough for me.

Not in all circumstances. Worked out for Rand for example.

Or maybe she should have been born in a hospital in upstate so this wouldn't be an issue to begin with. We can speculate on hypotheticals all we want, but this is the reality.

My two cents, I don't see the advantage to this right now. At all. Just seems to divide votes and hand the win back to Graham. Now all you need is Tom Davis to run and I'm officially disinterested.

I'm not sure if this helps or hurts us. Lindsey absolutely has to go so I hope one of these candidates falls upon their own sword when the time comes and endorses the other.

It is if you are an unknown. Mace isn't an unknown and she's a female which is odd in this movement.

I completely understand that. There are other factors that make two candidates not good, IMO.

Let's do some math.

1 - Without Bright: Graham 55%, Mace 30%, Cash 10%, Other/Write-in 5%
2 - With Bright: Graham 45%, Bright 25%, Mace 15%, Cash 10%, Other/Write-in 5%

In result 1, Graham would not be forced into a runoff. In result 2, Graham would be, which is an ideal chance to consolidate the anti-Graham vote, leading to result 3.

3 - Runoff following 2: Graham 45%, Bright 55%

Mace voters will support Bright in a runoff and vice versa. Cash voters will support either Mace or Bright in a runoff. No Mace voter is going to say, "aw, my candidate lost, I guess I'm gonna go with Graham now."

The more anti-Graham candidates, the better.

That's how Ted Cruz won his seat.

The biggest goal here is to hold Graham under 50% and make sure either Mace or Bright comes in #2

I think Bright is better, he's proven to be a liberty leader in SC. He endorsed Ron Paul in 2012. Nancy Mace didn't do so to my knowledge, and she also claims radical Islam is the greatest threat to the United States on her site.
