Lee Bright has had talks with fundraisers about primarying Lindsey Graham

I hope that Lee Bright declares soon...now would be the best time.

But let me say something: I have held the policy that we should always support the Republican...and I still do. But this is the one exception I will make because Graham is such a disaster and an embarrassment. If Graham is the GOP nominee, I WILL NOT support/endorse him in any way or form. PERIOD!

We are making some waves!

As good a day as this was for Sen. Rand Paul on Twitter, it was at least that bad for Sen. Lindsey Graham.

Laced throughout the thousands of tweets cheering on the filbustering Kentucky Republican was a vicious, visceral anger aimed squarely at the South Carolinian up for reelection next year.

The rallying cry hashtag: #PrimaryGraham.

Also I have a few friends from SC who prefer Bright to Davis, I was surprised to hear this at first because like most of you I have seen Davis' speeches and I follow him on fb and twitter, but according to them Davis can be a slick talker while Bright is more genuine. After some reflection I see how this could be possible seeing how Davis is a lawyer and former chief of staff for a Governor.

Good to hear. No doubt he will have no problem raising money to run against Graham!

One name that surfaces regularly as a likely primary challenger is state Sen. Lee Bright of Spartanburg. His name was floated again by callers on Glenn Beck’s radio show on Thursday, and although he’s undeclared, sources say he has a campaign manager already in place.

Actually, after the SC-1 election would be the best time. Let the coverage of that go away, and then insert yourself in the news cycle. Remember, 90% of the coverage on this race is going to come from local news. Bright would get lost in the coverage right now to Sanford and the rest vying for the House seat.

Yes, it's a long way till May 2014 I guess (or whenever the primary is)

If Bright is serious and can get started at least 12 months out he will have a real shot at taking him down as it will give us plenty of time to snowball and promote him while he travels the state and meets with every local county GOP voter he can find. If he's willing to put that effort in I am convinced he can beat Graham but he has to be prepared to travel the state and go to as many meetings as possible, hand out fliers and generate local buzz

Forgot to say, once he has established credibility the outside groups will support him so he doesn't have to worry about that. Just get out there and shake hands, distribute fliers and talk to likely primary voters.

He can do this even without the party establishment he just has to go round them and connect with the grassroots. No one will endorse him outside but it won't matter. Hopefully we can get Ron to host fundraisers in Texas to help make him competitive and other outside groups will likely jump on board once they're convinced he is credible.

Also about 3 counties in S.C have censured Graham and banned him from their meetings so those counties will be a rich source of activists and volunteers ready to work with him and not afraid of Graham's 'machine' in the state.

This will be epic and we can pull it off !

That is great news! This is all about local activism. It sounds like the situation is ripe for a Primary challenger.
