Anti-American protests spread to Iran

Expressing anger at the film mocking Muhammad that has triggered protests across the Middle East, roughly 400 young men and women gathered Thursday near the Swiss embassy in Tehran, chanting, “Death to the United States and death to Israel and death to England!”

The protests had been called to take place at the Swiss embassy because it represents American diplomatic interests in Iran. Riot police and ordinary officers cordoned off the area north and south of the embassy, clogging city streets. Behind the security cordon, protesters equipped with a van and loudspeakers denounce the film. Women in long black chadors wore yellow headbands emblazoned with Shiite religious slogans.

“We university students believe Zionism is behind all these insults!” one protest leader in a brown shirt shouted from the back of the van.

There were protests in Libya, Egypt, Yemen, Tunisia and other countries and yet they choose to lead with Iran and quote the demonstrators.

Will they ALSO cover all of the Muslims who rallied in Libya yesterday to voice their sympathy for the death of that ambassador, and to apologize for the radicals among their ranks? Not a chance. We're supposed to look at Muslims as cartoon bad guys, just like the Russians, Germans, and Japanese were our pet villains last century. Man, humanity disgusts me sometimes.

My problem with them leading with Iran is it feels like they're trying to stroke the flames of war. Why is it that most people don't want Iran to have a nuclear weapon...because they've been trained to think through MSM that Iran wants to go to war with Israel and the US.
