Lawmakers "fearful" of physical violence after health care vote!

Do you know what I have to say about this?

When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty. - Thomas Jefferson

Boo fuckin hoo.

So some some slimy politicians are butthurt because of people venting their anger at them?

Maybe they ought to have their faces rubbed in the blood of the dead of the wars they sponsor.

Then they'd really have something to whine about.

Self aggrandizing, self important, glad handing, fuckbags.

Gee should I feel sorry for them? Really? They are fully prepared to jack our shit all up for simply living FREE. They are getting an equal reaction from the populace. God if you are going to act like a bunch of tyrants do not whine and complain when people want to treat you like one.

Anyways, I am not saying ANYONE should harm ANYONE else here. But really, people are human beings and deserve RESPECT and their rights ought to be respected. The politicians are supposed to protect our liberties not try and rob us of them.

Careful, when they say they are scared it means they are about to start shooting.

This is nothing more than political posturing to seek sympathy and paint their foes as extremists (and possibly to create a pretext for some kind of "crackdown"). We know two things:
  • The vast majority of politicians are total cowards with no principles or scruples in the first place. Very few of them believe in anything strongly enough to martyr themselves for it.
  • The majority of Americans were pissed off that this legislation was even up for consideration, so anyone could have seen an enormous amount of anger coming from a mile away.
Therefore, if the unscrupulous and cowardly politicians ever thought for a second that they had anything to fear from the public's anger, they never would have supported this kind of legislation in the first place. Unless they have literally no concept of public opinion (extremely unlikely, given the outpouring of anger through letters, phone calls, etc. over the past year), the only logical conclusion is that their "fear" is an act.

Well I am telling you, yes maybe people are cowards, but once they find a bit of bravery it can be contagious and all the years of oppression can really take a long time to work out with aggression.

If the politicians ever did stir the hornets nest I don't think they would like what they would find. There is a lot of anger out there, something needs to change pronto or it could boil over. Let us hope Washington wakes up soon, the people have not even experienced the full depth of Washingtons lies and deciet, the big economic crash has yet to occur. God when this happens, it will be something to behold I imagine.

Going to lock myself somewhere safe...hopefully changes come and soon

Why are people mad at us?!

Doesn't take a god damn rocket scientist to figure that one out. Maybe ignoring people who have clearly raised their voice? Trampling the Constitution? Pushing your own twisted agenda to benefit yourselves?

Would be a good idea to take the pot off the fire instead of sealing the lid shut....

HOLY SHIT! I was wondering how common this kind of outrage / type of threads were accross the net, so I googled:

Democrats violence "health care bill"

it returned 27,300,000 - that's 27 MILLION pages! One for every 12th American...

What's worse, Googles spiders take a while to get arround the web, so the real number should be higher - much higher...

Well, for a reality check I put a + in front of each term and the number went down to 18 MILLION. Still, about one for every 20 Americans...

People are PISSED OFF - and these morons keep pushing like everything is normal.

Not only that they are taunting folks and telling them they do not have the right to make decisions for their own lives. They are fooling themselves we DO have these rights. I am done, tipping point reached and passed. The government is ceasing to be anything worthy of respect. It has ZERO moral authority to run our lives or dictate to us ANYTHING.

If it cannot obey the law then the laws it makes are not valid either. In the end it's a bunch of old white guys sitting around in suits WE PAID FOR. Why should we listen to a thing they say if they have no morals and do not respect us as human beings?

This may well be a tipping point. It's been building for a long time. Here's part of a letter I got cira 2002 or 2004, angry about the patriot act, illegal imigration, etc:

"I can't tell you how many people I've heard comment that they feel like they are in Germany right before WWII. Middle-class Republican soccer moms are worrying aloud about the "fascist" bent of the government. Scarcely a day goes by that I don't hear hear people comment that we need a revolution in this country. These aren't just the usual activists and fringe elements. These are the everyday people we usually call sheelpe. Americans are angry because they believe the government has turned against us and that out only recourse is going to be something big and ugly and probably violent (and those are quotes too)."

It's going to be real easy to see how scared they REALLY are. Let's watch their new "scared" voting records.

Americans have really short memories, but lawmakers seem to think they're much shorter than they are.
They promised to stop the wars, and they didn't.
They said they'd pay as they go, and they didn't.
They said they'd let us read the bills, and they didn't.
They kept every bad policy of W's that they were supposedly against.
Then we got three feet of snow, Washington was shut down for a week, and we all got to see first hand that we don't even need them.
Now they've blatantly stopped listening to us. All in one year.

I'm kind of surprised there hasn't been an assassination yet. That speaks volumes as to the character of the average American.
