LAURENCE COHEN: Campaign that wasn't: Dodd vs. Paul

Paul is lucky in one respect. The early primary in New Hampshire (motto: "Live Free or Die, You Intrusive Government Scum") probably will earn him at least 5 percent of the vote.
The author is out of touch with reality.

and one part serious political party that's going to take over the nation, subsidize nothing, decriminalize almost everything and wish you godspeed in living your life in freedom.

Ok, I won't lie, that made me laugh, it wasa hit piece, but a funny hit piece

Hitpiece or not I'm tired of these authors constantly bombarding readers with the phrases "Longshot", "No Hope", "Never Win", etc.

That is the kind of thing that builds in the subconscious and ultimately drives away supporters who are fearful of backing a lost cause and "wasting a vote".

What gets me is when I introduce Ron Paul to people via YouTube or discussions, people's responses are, "He's got some great ideas, but he won't win. He doesn't have any backing." Why are people acting like they are placing money on a bet? What happened to voting for who you believe in?

I loved it actually (sure, there were parts I didn't like--heck, there are parts of me I don't like). It was a fun read. The author (from CT) obviously needed a good foil for their hometown guy, and I'm glad he picked Dr. Paul. I wish more reporters and columnists wrote as well and comically while actually fitting in as much substance and background.

That article was obviously written to get some trafiic to his pathetic excuse of a website.
