Latest on the RCP Average: We're Beating Palin

We're now ahead of Palin for the first time ever. However, as far as I'm concerned, our actual average of 7.7 is entirely unacceptable. McCain was at 15% at this time in 2007. We're within 1 point of Palin, Bachmann, and Gingrich overtaking us.

Palin is only in 2 of the recent set of polls. I'm not sure if that's really enough data to be saying Paul is beating Palin. If you only use the polls that include Palin in the recent set, Paul and Palin are tied.

Paul is in 3rd but the percentage is too low, and we need to watch our backs because Newt is gaining.
