Speaking of ignorance, all citizens should have the same rights. Those rights come from the Creator, not from government, and certainly not from my wallet. In short, they're entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Nothing else. Not a job, not entitlements, not anything else.

The gay v. straight dispute is a perfect distraction. It is highly emotional and polarizing and no matter how it is resolved, it does nothing to address the real problem, which is runaway government. In fact, the dispute STRENGTHENS government as the factions pump money and energy into the state in hopes that the state will favor THEIR side in the dispute. For this reason, anyone who is getting their undies in a bunch over this issue and looking to government to solve it are helping to destroy this country.

Government has no business involving itself in marriage or what consenting adults choose to do with each other. That doesn't mean you must APPROVE of it. As Ron Paul says, advocating liberty does not mean that you approve of everything people DO with their liberty.

I care when they force their agenda on the rest of us. Homosexual "marriage", "tolerance" of their lifestyle (and any criticism is automatically labelled homophobic or bigoted), in-your-face homosexual "pride" parades, etc.

Not sure how a homosexual marriage would affect you in any way, shape or form. I have friends who are gay, I have no problem with gay people so obviously I'm tolerant of them and their lifestyle, they can do whatever they want in their own bedrooms. I don't participate because I'm not attracted to other men, so it doesn't affect me.

I pretty much see homosexual people the same way I see religious people. I don't practice your religion, but I have no problem with you practicing it. If you want to have a Jesus parade, go ahead. You want to proselytize? Go ahead. Why can't gay people be free to proselytize just as any religious person?
