varieties? So there can be a woman born with a penis, a man born with a uterus...

I thought this was really interesting piece before reading all the disparaging remarks in this thread.

I've been to her concert and it was an AMAZING performance (and I've been to quite a few concerts in my time).

Politically I haven't seen her say or do anything that upset me, no commercials for politicians or endorsements that I've seen.
Sure she's an advocate for same-sex marriage, but so am I.

What I don't like is all the name calling in this thread. It's ridiculous. I think everyone here at least respects Assange - so if she's spent time with him - despite what you thought about her before - maybe she learned something during those 5 hours.

Isn't that something we should be promoting!

But I agree most LGBT activists are blind to a true liberty movement. Just as
blind neo-cons & die hard religious nuts are blind to the rights of lgbt citizens.

Speaking of ignorance, all citizens should have the same rights. Those rights come from the Creator, not from government, and certainly not from my wallet. In short, they're entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Nothing else. Not a job, not entitlements, not anything else.

I agree to a point. The government has no right to impede on rights that are human rights, regardless of faith affiliation, that are gifted at birth.
However, the economy is not equal. Handouts are given to the top 1% while poverty stricken families who were born into poverty have a much harder time
just living their lives. I was born into poverty and climbed my way out. Not for the love of money, but for the love of what I do.

No offense, but from this thread they aren't the only ones who seem to be focusing particularly on this topic. Note, that the thread did NOT start out about gay marriage.

People can have different opinions but do not attack forum members or who they are (this is certainly not just to angelatc). There are a number of gay forum members, and gay marriage is one of the topics where there is a split of opinion on this board. That part is fine, attacks are not. (referring to the perversion crack.)

but to collectivistically consider everyone who is gay to have a 'gay agenda' to use government to force public opinion or religious activity is also ignorant, imho.
