Kyle Rittenhouse trial & updates [Verdict: NOT GUILTY]

So, we will see if the defense does Rittenhouse justice.

What are you thinking will happen on the street, if acquitted?

I think the Marxists have better control of the street Bolshies than we think.

Word will come down to stand down for right now, since they have power across the board.

They're not there to deliberate on the backlash, they're there to deliberate on whether the facts of the case warrant a conviction or not.

I sympathize - they've been doxed by fascists. Find Rittenhouse not guilty, then drive directly to your local gun shop and purchase an AR, a few extra mags, a skid of rounds, then board your windows up.

Should have had all that stuff already, anyway.

People tend to think they will be prepared. Do you ever sleep or is someone available that can stand guard while you sleep? What if there are multiple people coming at your home in all directions with molotov cocktails and/or their armed? What happens when you go to pick up supplies or whatever. It is not easy as you think it is.

Based on that I would tell the court that before I give my decision you better temporarily provide protection for when I leave the court house and at my home.

btw - local gun shop? Will they even sell right now out there? 20 years back I got denied in Texas one time because the gun shop required one reference to show I live there because I did not have a Texas ID. So he called my landlord who told them I had been attacked the day prior. Dealer said he could not sell until the cooling off period is over. Did not matter I was the victim of an attack and the gun shop was this big pro 2A shop featured on NBC News due to complaints by the far left. They were worried if I shot my attackers it would give the lib protestors something on them. So they left me defenseless.

I have no idea. I, honestly, don't know how they will rule in Kenosha. But, for the power players I think they will hold back, a bit, if Kyle is acquitted. The trial that has been going under the radar is the Arbery trial. If Kyle is acquitted and the McMicheals don't receive a death penalty cities will burn. It's a two-fer for self defense. Totally different situations but each is an trial about civic responsibility and what may be allowed if someone attempts to take your weapon from you.

Regardless, their job is to determine whether the facts of the case warrant a conviction, not to determine how their decision might affect them.

Trial by jury is a foundational element of a free society. Once that is ceded, there is no such thing as justice.

Some things are bigger than your property, or even your life.

I am not saying not to render a verdict. I am saying as jury I would say we will give our verdict when you have some security in place first.

Simple choice. State your case about fearing retribution and recuse yourself.

Do or do not. If you are fearful state your fear and recuse yourself. There are 6 other alternative jurors.

In fact that would make a GREAT statement. In a court of law.

"I have listened to the facts and am ready to make a judgement. However, I do not feel that this court, or any level of government, is capable of protecting myself or my family from retribution if my verdict is contrary to an extremists point of view. Therefore, I cannot participate in the most basic of civil service in the current environment that our government has allowed and continues to allow. I have no faith in this government. Therefore I recuse and ask the court to appoint an alternative juror."

Sumptin' like dat.

You should. BLM/Antifa are not organic to a local community. There are agitators that travel to locations to incite. Not a single business owner in Kenosha wanted their property destroyed. And a community should come together to protect their own.

Let them try to mess with me.

Seems to me that Kyle had more balls than that, frankly. That's the exact scenario he walked into that night - the government either could not, or would not, provide the most basic level of service it claims as justification of its existence - peace and security. Knowing that, a young man went to render aid and security, and took a firearm to protect himself in the event that rioters turned on him, which they did. He didn't ask someone else to go in his place - he went and served his community, and now that SAME GOVERNMENT that REFUSED to provide peace and security to the people and business owners of Kenosha are literally persecuting him as a result.

I GUARANTEE YOU that if it was one of their little pet pigs who was in the EXACT same situation, this case never even would have gone to trial.

Buck up, render your not guilty decision, go home, fill a few mags, and anyone who doesn't like it can FA & FO. I wouldn't expect the government to protect me even in the best of circumstances. I'll do it.

I understand. But you are you and you're not the average jurist. That SAME GOVERNMENT is not capable of providing them security after the trial. They couldn't before, they won't after. And to lesser people that weighs heavily. But, IF this was a contention that weighed on a jurors mind it would be a glorious day for them to speak the actual truth. YOU the government cannot, will not, protect me for voting my conscience.

I don't mean to get all woo woo, but I just have an eerie premonition that no matter the verdict, it's going to be bad. Yeah, the summer of 2020 was rough, but honestly, watching the riots was just a perverse form of entertainment for most people. Right now, everybody has been on edge. Conservative minded people are waking up enough to demand schools not indoctrinate. The government is calling them terrorists. The 2nd Ammendment and the right to self defense is a line in the sand that many in this country instinctively hold and I see many progressives ready to challenge that after angrily watching the misinformation that passes as news for the last few years. That's reaching critical mass with this latest trial.

I just have a feeling that this might be the tipping point.
