KY Republican Primary Gubernatorial Election Results (official thread)

People should get behind Bevin NOW. If the recount ends up changing the outcome then so be it. But times a wasting, and Bevin as the winner until otherwise noted needs the resources and volunteers to win this November. Bevin is a good guy, the establishment will probably treat him how they treated Ken in Virginia a while back. Its up to the grassroots to step up.

This. Bevin would be (no contest) the top liberty governor in the nation.

I'm proud to say my family cast three of those votes. more then 3%.

fyi - there is no automatic recount in kentucky. there is recanvas, which is basically checking that the totals each district turned in was what was totaled. Individual votes are not looked at as in a recount. The recanvas shouldnt change the total at all. did you turn in xxx? yes we turned in xxx.

Not unless the individual you're addressing that to has a vote that counts as 83 votes.

And where's all the uproar about none of the candidates having a majority of the vote (like there was in the McAuliffe/Cuccinelli/Sarvis race)?

Lol, 83 people decided this election. If 84 Bevin voters had stayed home, or voted for Comer this would have had a different outcome. Any Bevin voter, or volunteer who spent a weekend knocking on doors can pat himself on the back knowing he was critical to the outcome of this race.

And where's all the uproar about none of the candidates having a majority of the vote (like there was in the McAuliffe/Cuccinelli/Sarvis race)?
I don't remember any uproar about none of the candidates having a majority. If Cuccinelli had pulled a plurality of votes, most of his supporters would have been happy. The winning number is what matters.
