Expect Rand Paul To Debate

I wrote last night about the broad sense among conservative voters here in Kentucky that Rand Paul simply had to respond to the "Aqua Buddha" charges by agreeing to debate Jack Conway on Monday night--he'd previously said he wouldn't, and he's scheduled to announce his final decision this afternoon. Expect Paul to reverse course and say he's showing up. According to a knowledgeable Kentucky Republican, the Aqua Buddha flap is killing Conway: "The subject was the turning point in the campaign and the tracks [tracking polls] are moving dramatically in Paul's direction." Paul is aware of this and not likely to jeopardize his chances by staying home. Added my source, "It's on the way to being locked up."

What a tool. Rand never said he wasn't showing up, he said he had to think about it. And that tool didn't even write he wasn't showing up, he wrote that Rand had to think about it.

Tool just wants to make it look like he knew what he was talking about and perpetuate the meme against Rand, when he didn't have a clue, and the meme was wrong.

I was certain, and from this seem to have been right, that the left is going to blame Rand's win and any Randslide on that ad, rather than on the fact that except for internal polls Rand has had a healthy lead ever since the primary -- because he is the candidate people want.

Whatever.

It's the Atlantic. Typically a propaganda arm of the establishment and little more.

There is a JournOlist contingent at The Atlantic. Marc Ambinder is their main reporter and he is an admitted member that said the "Media is going to help the Democrats national messaging." Green is probably a member as well.
