That is, God takes the lives of man-killer animals in retribution for killing human life. How much more does He does so in the case of men who take human life (regardless of insanity/etc.)? When the State interjects itself into the matter, it is picking a fight with Almighty God over Genesis 9. Good luck with that. God has obliterated every empire of history, there is nothing of them but ashes and ruins remaining. The current empires will also be obliterated.
