Kurt endorses Mitt Romney/Paul Ryan ticket....

the only thing the majority of the GOP give any thought, any incremental amount of brain power to is the defeat of Barack Obama. and anyone who plans on putting that little (R) next to their name has to hum the exact same song. OR TAKE ALL OF THE BLAME FOR LOSING.

Or you could just tell the GOP to go f*ck themselves and start your own thing. As long as the two major parties have a monopoly on elections while censoring any third party effort, we haven't changed a thing.

If Rand hadn't, they would have had to deal with Ron it gave them an easy way out, and used Ron's support to get it.

To those who funded and worked on RON'S campaign it might have ALSO created a foot hold for Rand LATER but it was for the purpose of showing off RON, not Rand.

And put your mind back to that day -- the day of the state GOP convention in TX. Ron just had months of thousands at each rally, several rallies a week. He was dominating conventions. The day after the endorsement delegates in TX voted and Ron literally lost delegates for lack of a single vote. We very close to won Texas. And the enthusiasm died, and later state conventions were impacted. On the roll Ron was on, it would have been very hard to not have him have the states to be nominated on the floor, so all the media was expecting it and would be shocked if he didn't get it at RNC.

Whatever, I'm not here to debate this, but it is something that now simply is part of history, and it had a huge impact on how people here view people.
You don't think Ron and Rand discussed this? Ron knows Rand is the future of the liberty movement and wanted him to showcase himself and bridge the gap with the rank and file republicans. Strategically speaking you showcase the future and young guns, not the guy retiring.

You might make that choice, but you weren't supporting Ron's campaign, but trying to get Ron's supporters to move to your projects ever since you came on here. It is obvious what you thought the benefit of Ron's campaign was, but those who funded and worked for it had something else in mind and that would be bait and switch at minimum. This wasn't 'the movement', it was a single politician's campaign. And no,after putting a lot of thought into it and rewatching contemporaneous video by both Ron and Rand, and by Tom Woods, I think Rand mentioned it to Ron after it was set up and half an hour before he went on the air with Hannity, didn't consult him as to whether he was for it, in advance, since you ask. I don't think you want to go through that discussion, so let's just drop it.

I'd love to hear your grand plan to "start your own thing". You just stated third parties are censored, so what exactly is the plan...sitting on the couch eating cheetos?

Don't allow a forum join date fool you, been involved much longer than you think. Those "other projects" were what Ron Paul advised to do back in 2007, getting active within the republican party and elected our own. How can that be a bait and switch when Ron Paul said to do just that! Ron always had his eye on the big picture and the future, and always pointed it out that this movement was bigger than just him and just one campaign. I think many lost sight of that going for the knockout blow by electing him President. Frankly, Tom Woods hasn't worked for the campaign and lives in Kansas and is not privy to what the Pauls do or do not discuss. Anything he says is mere speculation and he admits it. Rand's announcement came months after the Iowa caucus defeat and the writing was clearly on the wall. It also came after the campaign sent out the notice that the nomination wasn't in the cards. If anything the campaign should've acknowledged it sooner, once Santorum dropped out of Pennsylvania. They treated supporters with kid gloves so the backlash was more severe.

So what's the brilliant plan you have? Prove to everyone you're more than just a defeatist troll.
LOL... if anyone around here is a troll, it's you. You're the one who is just fine and dandy with the current situation in the GOP. Maybe YOU should put down the Cheetos bag and start paying attention, and put your country ahead of your political ambitions for now.

And all you seem to be able to do is level insults and try to squash any dissenting conversation around here. Liberty...it's in the dictionary...look it up. And while you're at it stop trying to pretend like you are the second coming of Ron Paul. You sir are no Ron Paul.

the movement is one thing, the campaign is RON'S campaign. that is like saying if Bills is losing they should use his funding and political capital for Massie, regardless of what his donors thought.

and Lew Rockwell had dinner with Ron the night it happened.

Yea, and Ron has a feeling for the "immediacy" concept that we have. He expressed that in the last few rallys as well as the Texas State Convention. Remember the "false flag" comment and the fear for civil liberties comment, as well as the comments on a police state? He's in this for the present as well as the future.
