Kucinich on Cavuto Advocating for 3 Trillion Dollars for National Public Works Initiative

Just shows their lack of morality.

And control freaks. Neo-socialism is essentially raw power. You notice that it doesn't confine itself to a couple sectors but nearly every facet of human life. Dietary, ecological, labor related, financial, etc. There is no stone left untouched.

Kucinich is a Left wing nut freak when it comes to economics. These Socialists keep over promising with new spending programs that claim will solve our economic problems. They say, "If we just steal from this group for this govt program will solve..." The sad part is, the new spending that goes into effect never works. If it did, why keep proposing similar shit over and over and over. Heck, we have spent $16 trillion since LBJ to fight the war on poverty yet the poverty rate is exactly the same - during LBJ it was 14%, today 14.3% - after spending all that money.

If the Left had any common sense, all one has to do is look at European countries who advocate massive govt spending programs and higher taxation on the rich to know it just does not work long term. They all have massive debt loads and high unemployment. The free market is more powerful than any govt or politician. You can only prop up your artificial growth with higher taxes and borrowed money before the free market spits you out. That's what is occurring over in places like Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, England, etc.

Hey i would rather spend 3 trillion on infrastructure than wars, police state and welfare

I don't think that's it.

I think it's more like, no matter how much we already spend on wars, police state, and welfare, he wants to spend 3 trillion more on pretty much anything, as long as it gets spent.

Where do you suppose they would be able to get that much money? The country is broke as a joke.

Dig holes, fill them back in. All of the stimulus money on infrastructure that I have seen in my area consists of tearing up perfectly good streets, sidewalks, parks, park bathrooms, etc, and then rebuilding them.

Socialism is a type of pgvernment. The problem with capitalism only occurs when the government gets in bed with the capitalists.

It doesn't take the government alone to institute a game of Monopoly. Capitalists, through their own willful deception or greed, can privatize the attributes of socialism just as well as whatever system of government could otherwise corporatize them.

The 3 Trillion well come from China? In return for that would every member of Congress and the President would have to wear American lapel pins with Chinese red star on it?

I find it somewhat ironic that when libs talk about why we are taxed they always bring up the roads and infrastructure. It appears that taxes have not been being used for infrastructure in quite sometime now with us needing so much money to repair it.

It is like government at all levels spending over $50,000 per year for every person in poverty, presumably to keep them in poverty for next year's budget.

we actually don't borrow that much money from china, relatively speaking. us debt owned by china is like less than 10% of our total oustanding debt. the major holders are the taxpayers (intergovernmental debt - things like say the Dept. of Energy borrowing from the SS trust fund, etc).

and China wouldn't loan us 3T, a lot of Chinese are already starting to turn away from buying US debt as it is.

There is nothing wrong with throwing someone a little support when they're in the right. Kucinich is pretty good on civil liberties/war issues, he's just totally lost of fiscal/economic policy.

So I take it you don't think your right to own arms is a civil liberty? It blows my mind that somebody that calls out the govt as corrupt and full of war mongers fully endorses taking away a citizens right to defend themselves.

Kucinich is a Greenbacker. He thinks treasury should print money to spend it into the economy for infrastructure.

First, incorporate the Federal Reserve System into the U.S. Treasury where all new money would be created by government as money, not interest-bearing debt; and be spent into circulation to promote the general welfare. The monetary system would be monitored to be neither inflationary nor deflationary.

Second, halt the bank’s privilege to create money by ending the fractional reserve system in a gentle and elegant way. All the past monetized private credit would be converted into U.S. government money. Banks would then act as intermediaries accepting savings deposits and loaning them out to borrowers. They would do what people think they do now. This Act nationalizes the money system, not the banking system. Banking is not a proper function of government, but providing the nation’s money supply is a government prerogative!

Third, spend new money into circulation on 21st century eco-friendly infrastructure and energy sources, including the education and healthcare needed for a growing and improving society, starting with the $2.2 trillion that the Civil Engineers estimate is needed for infrastructure repair; creating good jobs across our nation, re-invigorating local economies and re-funding local government at all levels.

I wouldnt want to see any new deficit spending... .BUT if we were gonna do it, Id rather it just be printed from the Treasury.. LIke United States Notes... instead of Federal Reserve Notes that force us into more debt

Because it is the one thing all "sheeple" can relate to and easily agree on, regardless of their states own geography or demographics. Besides, such tact had benefited Hitler's agenda so wonderfully. A la rules for radicals, 'tis a thing that Mr. Soetoro (Pres. Obama) most undoubtedly knows within his frigid heart more-so than our U.S. Constitution.

Well in Europe they sure love to practice the socialist experiment.
Why is that?
Well I think its very attractive for policitians to do so.
Socialism is the path for extreme centralization of power and money to a handful of politicians.

Here in West-Europe lots of socialist politicians are millionaire. How is that possible with a 40-hour job in the public sector?

Nope. Dennis Kucinich has been pretty consistent on wanting to cut military and police state spending. So no, he doesn't want to spend "3 trillion more on pretty much anything".
